99 Subaru Forester, 154k, Green, Auto, Needs TLC

I purchased this car six months ago off Craigslist in hopes of fixing it up and making it my daily driver. It was driven from Lynn, MA back to my house in Newburyport, MA and has been sitting ever since. Around the time of purchase I decided to go back to school and ended up getting pretty stuck paying for classes and textbooks (with only a part time job). In any case, its too cold/wet/snowy to be outside laying on the ground working on it and I'm enrolled in a new semester of classes. This car is just sitting and doing me no good. It has a New Hampshire title/bill of sale (both of which I never signed).

-Needs axles

-Carpet torn on driver's side
-New England rust
-Automatic tranny shifts HARD into drive/second
-Will need to be towed away

Is it the drivers side that is rusty? Overall she looks relatively clean. Unfortunately it's the 4eat trans issues that's a bit scary with this one. Pretty typical for that trans with the mileage though.

Yup yup, it has a spot on the driver's side rear fender, down on the door/floor step, and near the dead pedal.

Yeah, the trans could be on its last leg. For someone wanting a project or parts car, this Forester would be perfect.
