    2007 Suzuki DR650 *SOLD*

    2007 Suzuki DR650 *SOLD*

I've decided to sell my DR what with changing circumstances and plans. In the past year since getting it I've put on maybe 700 miles or so, just about all pavement,
and I didn't do the dual-sporting and adventure-touring I'd planned. It came with most of the "right stuff" that you'd put on a DR, and I've added more and serviced the bike.

    Showing 15K miles.

The PO told me that he used it mostly on trails so it was scratched up some, and I have found no evidence of crashing or abuse.

Starts and runs great, MA title in hand. $4500 for everything as follows.

What it's got, and what I did:

IMS 4.9 gallon gas tank. ProFill fuel filter sock (goes under the gas cap). Mikuni TM40 pumper carb (no more vacuum carb). Warp 9 wheels (18" on the rear instead of stock 17"). Skid plate.
Lower chain guard. MSR tapered handlebar on ProTaper bar clamps. Acerbis hand guards. New JT chain and sprockets (-1 on the front).
JNS front sprocket cover/case guard. Suzuki late model seal retainer on the ouitput shaft. JNS rear brake cylinder guard. New Galfer brake pads front and rear. New front brake rotor (Warp 9) with new rotor bolts.
SS front brake line. Engine case guards (the glue-on kind).

Michelin Anneke Wild tires with new tubes, rim strips, and rim locks -- balanced, and checked for true -- all good, no dings or dents in the rims.

LED lighting upgrades front and rear. Front - OZ-USA LED spots on the JNS bracket. Rear, I added a big trailer brake/taillight

ProMoto billet rear rack, "Dirty Bags" side bags, tank bag. Seat Concepts seat. The lower, wider foot pegs that "they" say you need.

Suspension has RaceTech internals. I sent the fork legs and rear shock to Motoworx in West Hatfield MA for servicing (Rob is an authorized RaceTech service shop). All good.

Valve clearances checked and adjusted (two were in spec, two were about +.001"). Changed oil & filter (didn't really need it, but I like to start fresh).
Installed Gold Plug oil drain plug, safety wired. Installed Suzuki seal holder behind the front sprocket. Removed and cleaned the airbox, installed new UNI filter.
Removed the tank and petcock, all was clean as a whistle inside, resealed petcock. Dropped the float bowl, all clean inside, installed extended bowl screws.

While the suspension was off, I decided to check the bearings. On the rear linkage, the lowest one was rusted (I'm guessing water might tend to collect there),
so I replaced them all with AB kit, and re-packed the swingarm bearings, too. On the front steering bearings, they were kind of dry but not bad,
but I replaced them anyway with AB rollers while I had it apart.

Lubed the cables (they look new) with Dri-Slide. Re-routed the clutch cable for a smoother pull. Had the clutch off to secure the neutral switch (sits behind the clutch),
Suzuki calls it the neutral sending unit or NSU -- one of those things you gotta do. New screws on the switch, blue thread locker, screw heads drilled and safety wired.
Clutch looks like new Barnett with Barnett springs, 'way too heavy for me to pull, so I went with the DR forum suggestion -- two Barnett springs and two new OEM springs.

Lots of other items, cleaning, un-sticking of fasteners, replacing as required. Bike is ready to go ... anywhere.

Oh yeah, spares and extras --
New spare clutch and throttle cables, two new spark plugs, three oil filters, levers.
And the Kenda tires that came on it, plenty of life left.
And a new IRC 400-18 tube.
A new Parabellum windscreen, mounting holes drilled, not on the bike now, will be good for colder weather.

I've got the bike lowered 5/8" now, quick and easy to raise back to stock height.
Has the Suzuki optional shorter side stand on it now, the stock length stand is in a box of stuff that goes with the deal.

Probably some other things, I'll have to look.

Selling it all as the complete package as described, $4500 for everything.

Better that someone use and enjoy the bike rather than having it sit in the garage "in case" circumstances change.

Thanks for looking. PM with interest.

In Arlington MA with easy access from MA Route 2 or Mass. Ave.

That is nicely setup. You should post it up in the ADV flea market.

What’s the cube thing where the horn usually is, above the header?

    Thanks. Will do.

The cube thing is a PIAA horn, looks odd from that angle. Piercing.
