Good i diddnt want to trade my 250 an 6 g's for that anyways the lever is snapped from it being dropped and we know nothing about the bike, repo/ service records?/ what is the deal w/ an 08 w/ 4 k miles what happened? you dont just ride a bike for 4k and sell it? Obv. there was a problem there.
don't get salty and pissy. if you have a question, ask it, keep the sarcasm to yourself.

Obviously...
The problem is with the scheptical new member, with three posts, that doesn't realize that Hobbs doesn't play those games.
What difference does it make if it's a repo? Does it make the bike lower in quality if the original owner couldn't afford to pay for it? Shut up!
Service records? Seriously? It has 4000 miles. That means it's had two oil changes. There's your service records! Shut up twice!
The title is clean (not salvage or rebuilt). The bike is spotless (except for the brake lever which was already explained as breaking off when the bike was strapped for transporting). Continue to shut up!
If you want the bike, buy it. The deal isn't going to get any better. It's advertised here for $1000 less than on the web site.
If you don't want the bike... get back on your sister's 250, SHUT UP, and drag your ass! Don't come in here and shit up a for sale thread that was posted by a reputable dealer trying to offer everyone a special deal!

The bike was a trade in on a Dodge at a dealer
I have the books and records
The bike is not a repo
I try to only post decent deals on nesr
I have ordered a new lever, 15.00
Thanks Again
1) Even if your 250 was brand new it would take more than $6K to make up the difference.
2) He already explained why the lever was snapped off. Do you see any damage on the fairings or bar end? If it was dropped than there would be more damage than just the lever, at least a scratch. Why would someone go through all the trouble of repairing the bike and not replace the lever?
3) What difference would it make if it was a repo? Does the owner not being able to make the payments reflect on the bike itself in any way?
4) The bike only has 4,000 miles on it. The only service records you would get is one oil change by itself and the 600 mile service, which is a oil change and a check to make sure nothing has loosened up. If it would make you feel any better you can buy it and then take it to the dealer for the $250 600 mile tune up.
5) I've seen bikes with a lot less miles for sale, especially Ducati's. Some people buy bikes just to ride around on the weekends. A lot of people that buy Ducati's just buy them to hand out at coffee shops and stare at their pretty Italian machine. Besides that, it is only a year old. 4K in a year is pretty average for most riders.
6) Even if there was a problem with the bike it still has a year left on the warranty. If it is a factory freak with problems, the 848 is known to have common problems, anything wrong with it would be fixed for free within the next year.
PS- Nice way to introduce yourself to everyone, welcome?

Hahahaha guggie has 3 posts, 1 is a lame offer for Hobbs' bike and the other 2 are posts of pure douchebaggery shitting in for sale threads. You're on a roll.... GTFO.
Bump for Hobbs, great guy. Have paid him for things and received very quickly great deals...

Sorry, I need to keep myself amused... way too busy today.
I'm still trying to work this out. I really want this bike. My wife isn't putting up to much resistance surprisingly.
I would buy but Duey has one and I think he busted his nuts on it at NHIS.

nice!!! congrats on the sale/purchase!
FUUUUCK YEAH JASON! Now i'd like to ride it please!
Jason, if you need the 411 on suspension / chassis setup and such, don't hesitate to ask. I've done just about anything you can do shy of a few things (which may be coming over the winter) to my 848 to get it fully sorted for the track... the side benefit, is that every change I've made has paid dividends on the street as well..... Congrats on the bike, you will NOT be disappointed....
Nice move Jason!

Did you end up selling the GSX-R to get the 848? Congratulations either way.

As per his for sale thread, he's trading the Gixxah towards the 848. A wise decision indeed.
