    2008 S2R 1000

Under 2k miles, Termi Pipes, DP header, Fat Duc 02 manipulator, Woodcraft clutch cover, other minor goodies. Tail chop mod too. I Have stock pipes and headers that go with it.

Looking to primarily trade for a nice ST4s or ST3s. Straight trade preferred.

    Don't really care for ABS.

I love the Monster but the wife has started to talk more about 2 up riding and I think an ST might be the right compromise.

The S2R 1000 retails around $7000 and a 2005 ST4s Retails around $7900. I expect an ST of that vintage to have at least 10k more miles than the Monster so I would think the value would be about even.

Let me know if you see anything.

    Crappy cell phone pic

Will post more recent pics if needed.

Can't add to the stable without letting one go and if I can find a nice ST I think that would fit better.

I would pay it forward to a friend. Especially if they had a red ST3/4s

It has been longer than 2 months

I love the bike but the Hawk does the same thing and I can't get rid of the Hawk (gonna put it back in minimal street trim). If I can get a sport tourer instead of this then I am all set.

More recent pic. I have found a couple ST4S's that are in the price range but they are dealer bikes and dealers want to give me trade in value on the monster.

cant believe youre selling this gem. you got lucky finding this, now youre getting rid of it.

take the termi's off, and get trade in value towards your st4 or whatever. then make the difference up by selling the termis.

fyi, that st4 is gonna suck for maintenance comparatively.

and, youre officially an old man if you get one.

    doc sucks.

I know... I don't WANT to sell it but not having a job kinda sucks.

If the CRF sells or at this point even the 748 I can hold onto this a little longer.

I think the ST will fit me fine... Maybe an ST3Ss would be better maintenace wise. I should have bought Kurlons.

Not really, some techs think the 3-valves are the biggest pain to work on in the Ducati lineup. Could be that there are so few of em tho. If you want reliability and less maintenance, a 2V is the way to go.

scotties right, don't go 3 valve. Just the horizontal cyl intake valve alone would be enough to scare me away!

Weird, never heard anything but praise for the 3v head from the local shop. All the guys thought Duc should have replaced the 2v head with it on the aircooled machines. I agree!
