My body really just doesn't like the super sport bike set up any as I'm 29 going on 60 with knee and back problems that will never go away.
I've owned the bike since brand new in April of 2009. It's all black and has approximately 12,000 miles on it right now. There is a light scuff/scratch on the tank but it's not horrible(see pics). I have an M4 GP exhaust on the bike with the latest (actually fits correctly) silencer in it. I also have a smoked LED tail light on it with integrated turn signals built in and a fender eliminator kit. The tires are Dunlop 2CT's and are on their second summer (This year will mark the 3rd). There is still plenty of good tire left but I do too much highway riding unfortunately in lieu of the twisties that I know and love. The bike has never been downed, raced or left to the elements other than getting stuck in some rain on my ride home once last summer. This in turn shows some mild rust on the chain and rotors. I have a black fender bolt kit to be added. I also have the original tail light and I believe the original turn signals somewhere. The voltage regulator recall has been taken care of, however, the bike may need a new stater. Title in hand. Any questions, just ask.

Bump for this prick.
Just kidding, Sean is a solid guy.
Ride that thing up here some day and I'll clean the chain for ya.

It's been cleaned since these pics... I did take the bike out last weekend for a nice 50 mile cruise. Had to hit this one section of 105 near my house.
Also, figured it would be easier to start my own thread instead of trying to bump the one you made for me previously before i registered here.... so that at least it would be bumped as needed.
In any event i have a tentative buyer coming to get it Saturday. But, as of right now, still for sale until otherwise indicated.
And on that note, thanks for the BUMP!
word. good luck then. so cruiser next?

My body may hate me, but... i'll likely get a regular sport bike. A little more upright, seats are basically like a couch in comparison to a supersport....
Been looking at the Yamaha FZ1's... not as pretty as a super sport, but still has the 4 cylinder 1000cc. May even make it into a naked bike. I'll save the cruiser/chopper/old man bike for when I'm 40.
good call. seen several people go to that exact bike and they seem to love it.

Yeah, I'd love to keep this just for the looks of it alone. But, an FZ1 will still be fun and i think has some better options and comfort to make it a "touring" bike if needed. I've wanted to go up to the white mountains and do a camping trip for the longest time and haven't even considered it on this thing.
Monday morning bump.
May be making it's way to a dealership soon...
womp...

Yeah, well the dealerships actually make reasonable offers... craigslisters are ridiculous for the most part.

It's sad knowing that a dealership will turn around and sell the thing for $7k or more is all. I had the bike up for sale last year at a grand more with next to no interest. This year... plenty of interest but most people make an offer, then just bail all together. If i can get my minimum from a dealer, i'll just do that. Removes worry from my mind and moves the bike sooner than later. So, unless someone steps up over the next couple days, it'll likely be in a dealers hands by the weekend.
For someone looking for a 600 supersport, I have no clue why they would not want to buy your bike. It looks great, the price is very good and 2009 was the year it took over the reins of the class in terms of handling and power. My only issue with the 2009 was the way the exhaust pipe looked and you took care of it! Good luck with the sale. I will forward this to a friend who just sold his bike and maybe looking for another.

Yeah, there are some dealerships around me that will do the same thing. It ranges from 10-15% if you do it that way. I'm taking it back to the dealership i bought it from tomorrow. The guy knows me pretty good, and he knows what my bottom line is. You guys will see if it is gone or not tomorrow at some point lol. Although, i did have another guy who was going to come up and look at it... however, he already told me what he planned to offer so I told him not to waste his time...
Well... it ended up going to a dealer for my lowest acceptable value. I miss it already but... on to bigger and better things i guess. Hope everyone has a great riding season. Keep the rubber side down.
boo...
