Up for sale: my 2016 Honda Africa Twin, red/white/black, manual transmission. Just over 15,000 miles, well cared for, most of those miles are long distance. I was intending to keep this bike for a long time, but then I rode a KTM and was smitten. So it's time to pass this on to someone who will ride it the way it was meant to be ridden.
Nicely set up for touring with a variety of extras:
- SW Motech crash bars
- Center stand
- Heated grips (Symtec ones that actually get hot, not the weak Honda ones)
- Two accessory power sockets -- standard cigarette lighter socket and a Powerlet socket
- Eastern Beaver 3CS three-circuit harness with unswitched power to the accessory sockets, switched power to the heated grips, and an additional switched output that I've got a power cable plugged into for my Tourmaster heated vest (standard coax power cable)
- Stock windscreen cut down for much smoother airflow
- Shock Sox fork seal protectors
- Tusk D-Flex handguards
- SW Motech quick-detachable pannier racks (these take literally a minute or two to mount/dismount from the bike)
- Rear wheel is sealed using Outex kit for running tubeless (and it worked great -- tire pressure has been rock stable ever since)
- Shinko 700 front tire and Pirelli MT-90 rear, a little over 2000 miles on them (I've run this combination before and got over 6000 miles out of them, so these tires have lots of life left, and they work great on both pavement and dirt)
- Stock seat currently has a BeadRider cover on it, which I was planning to take off and keep, but if you really want it, you can probably talk me into throwing it in
Bike is located in Georgia, Vermont, a short distance north of Burlington. Asking $10,500.

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
The AT is a great bike... but for me the KTM 1090 Adventure R is a better choice.

You can't beat the 1x90 bikes, they're incredible. GLWS.
2023 KTM 890 Adventure R
Dunno about the R, but the old 1290 SA (now "touring") is dreamy. Does everything. Like, all of it, all the time.
And they are somewhat out of favor so you can get 'em for reasonable money.
Okay, price drop. $10,000.

I'm surprised at the lack of interest. Maybe another price drop will help? $9500.

I think everyone's lack of interest is the same as yours.

It's a shame, actually. It's a great bike. I would have kept it for a long time if I hadn't tried the KTM. And I've got a couple of friends who love their Africa Twins.
For an average-sized rider, it's a fantastic way of getting into long-distance riding and ADV touring at a very reasonable price (and a more engaging ride than a V-Strom or Super Tenere). For bigger guys like me (260lbs), it would need some suspension work over the longer term, but not thousands of dollars' worth.

I think it's a cool bike, nicely appointed, and priced well. I also think your buyer probably isn't on NESR, you have it listed on ADV Rider as well?
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief

This is arguably what I should be riding. Instead I went the other direction.
Your buyer is out there. Just give it time, I think.
Probably still going to be a decade or two yet. 'Cause right now I love riding what I bought.
Just saying I wouldn't not love riding this.
You need a stable, Colin. And you get the friend price...

I have a potential spot for 2 of 3/4 bikes that’d need to go to make this happen.
Who wants a minty clean 5th gen VFR800 (I'll do $4k, w/ Sargent, full Givi luggage, DMr cartridges just installed w/ new AllBalls tapered steering head bearings PLUS the VFRness and MOSFET R/R upgrade I have for it - NESR ONLY), or a cheaaaap $1500 ST2 (brand new top end, soon to be w/ brand new MOSFET R/R) so I can buy dis??
