SOLD!
Selling my 2017 Honda CRF450R to make room for a new truck.
This season I went through the process of getting it street legalized. Clean South Dakota title in my name in hand, as well as copies of all the paperwork I submitted to SD to get the street title (including the original Certificate of Origin). Overall the bike is in excellent condition and very clean both aesthetically and mechanically. Rode it at Pachaug this season and it performed flawlessly. This is a kick start only bike, but I installed a Rekluse Radius X clutch so its ready for the woods and you don't have to worry about stalling.
The street legal light kit is top of the line and manufactured by RedMoto USA. It's manufactured to be plug and play with the OEM wiring harness and stator and has all LED lighting including an OEM Honda LED head light, LED tail light, and LED turn signals. This is a full kit with horn, brake light switches, custom speedometer mount that looks factory, speedometer and sensor, handle bar switch. I opted for the upgraded kit with radiator supports and fan as well. It looks 100% factory and operates that way as well. The lighting kit was over $1400 from RedMoto. https://www.redmotousa.com/product-p...0-crf-450-r-rx
Installed upgrades/farkles/accessories:
- RedMoto lighting kit
- Fastway billet kick stand
- Acerbis skid plate
- Rekluse Radius X clutch
Also included:
- RedMoto graphics set
- OEM clutch (still has life left)
- Honda manual
I have it listed on the FB for $7500, but I don't really want to deal with people offering to trade me dogs and belly button lint. NESR price is $6500 firm. Located in Fall River, MA. PM me if you're interested!

So… do you happen to know if the process to register in MA would be as simple as taking the title to the DMV? Or will it be subject to some kind of inspection and then you may be at the mercy of the whims of a DMV employee or state trooper? If registration in MA is a slam dunk, I’d be pretty interested.

As far as I am aware, all you would need to title and register in MA is the South Dakota title, a bill of sale, and your stamped RMV-1. You would be subject to regular state inspection at that point, not the uber state inspection where you have to present every single receipt in the history of the world.
Cool, I’m gonna do a little research and I may get back to you. I have had the 450L/RL towards the back of my wishlist, but the 450R may be the answer to my concerns…
