As my track addiction grows, I decided that it's time for me to sell my street bike.

Penske shock (serviced less than 500 miles ago)
Revalved stiffer forks (serviced less than 500 miles ago)

GSXR brake calipers
EBC HH pads
DID X-ring chain w/ new sprockets, +1 rear (less than 1500 miles on them).

Zero Gravity Double Bubble Windscreen
Extra-heavy bar ends to dampen vibration
Bar filled with lead shot to dampen vibration

Also included:
An extra set of wheels with almost new pilot powers - only one track day on them (a $700 value).
Stock seat
Stock exhaust

The bike has about 28,000 miles on it, which may seem like a high number, but was rigorously maintained. Oil always changed on time, and valves were adjusted at about 20,000 miles.

Never crashed. Never wheelied. Always starts right up.

If you want a fantastic street machine, this is your bike. If there are no takers within a month I will probably start parting her out.

I know someone who *may* be interested in a swap of forks and shock with the stockers+ money. That may make it easier for you to sell it with those back to stock?

I would think all they would need is for GMD to stick some beefy springs in the forks and get a bigger rear spring as they are bigger then you?


I brought it up and they were interested, but unsure.

Come on John... you were there on the day the bike was "Christened" and even helped unload it from the truck when I bought it. It's practically destiny for you to own it. I could even deliver it to your house for you with the extra rims and all.

parting out at all? my friend has an 03 z1000, i will tell him about this.

edit: if you part out he wants to know how much you'd want for the shock and forks if he traded you his stock parts (11k miles on them, his bike is mint) and cash.
