Up for sale is my 2008 KTM 690 SMC $5,800 firm or possible trade for a Daytona 675.
The bike has about 15K on it and the motor has never given me any real problems. This thing can be run at race pace on the track, and is a phenomenal street bike with it's 6 speed transmission and slipper clutch.
What has been done to the bike:
Lowered 1" internally
Suspension DIALED in by Kates and me over the years (have stock springs, and an extra set of modified springs (stiffer) for the lowered forks)
FMF Q4ti pipe and a dynotune session
Cycra handguards
I replaced the rocker arms just as preventative maintenance at 10K (that is the only real weakness in this motor)
I replaced the gas tank bushings with aluminum ones (stockers are known to wear out fast)
15/40 geaing
Fresh chain
New gel battery
Issues:
The bike is pretty much mint BUT
it does exhibit occasional cold stalling. This is a known issue on these, and I just live with it.
The speedo LCD screen is flaking out. Again, a known issue. This is the 3rd one, and I'm not bothering to replace it.
It could use a new rear fender as the plastic at one mounting point blew out. I haven't bothered as it stays put even without it.
