This bike might have some historic value ... isn't it a first year Hurricane?

I remember they had a bunch of ads on TV when they introduced this thing. You'd see some guy dressed as a Ninja in old Japan noticing that the wind is picking up. The announcer would say, "There is only one thing the Ninja fears -- and that is the Hurricane!" and the Ninja guy would open a trap door in the floor and hide.

I always thought the best way to end this ad would be to have some squid perform a rolling burnout through the Ninja's house, but I think they just showed a picture of the new motorcycle.

you are correct. this is the first year of production. and after a few years, and some bad natural disasters, the geniuses at honda decided to drop the hurricane name and roll with just the cbr F series. they were also the first full fairing bike that doesnt look like a box. just some schoolin for the youngins

it also used to dominate at the track, lightweight frame and powerful 4 cyl. engine just makes sense. there are still some race footage videos on youtube. oh man i need to find that ad and post it.

the bike is still here until sunday when i drop it off to its new owner, lucky girl got a bike for less than half of the private sale value. im not sure she knows what shes sitting on, literally. haha dammit im tired. i dont recall anything other than a shirt. maybe you could refresh my memory.
