    Bigass Air Conditioner

I have a 12,000 BTU A/C that I picked up new at Home Depot about 3 years ago, used one season, and has been sitting in my basement ever since. (I moved, and it doesn't fit in my windows).

Great shape, I don't have the remote, ($20 online) or the slide-out-side-things. I paid something like $350 for it, it works perfect/looks great. Wrong time of the year to be selling an AC but hey, 75 bucks, come and get it. Cold as hell, I used it a grand total of maybe 3 months tops.

    It's one of these:

DO you have the dimensions of the opening it would need to become an in wall unit? Width and Height of the face of the unit. I might be interested if it will fit and replace one of my in walls.

    Thanks

    Joel

I can whip a tape measure on it, sure. I'll post up a pic of the actual AC as well in a few.

24" Wide, 15" High, 24" Deep, that's not including the little 1" shroud around the whole thing where it would rest against a windowpane.

    Re: Bigass Air Conditioner

Here's a bad pic of the actual unit. I guess I do have half of the slide-out-shroud thing, but only on one side, heh.

I'm up in Amesbury. If it'll fit what you're looking to do (or for anyone else interested) give me a heads up and I'll get it setup/plugged in and running with a catch pan in my basement for the water, to make sure it's not blowing dust/etc everywhere when you show up. I haven't turned it on in at least two years, and it was in covered/wrapped storage up until about 3 months ago.

I might have the remote packed in a box somewhere, so if I do end up finding it I'll chuck it in the mail to whoever ends up with it.

    Re: Bigass Air Conditioner

Well the holes for my ancient in walls are both 25 3/4" by 16 7/8" so the unit you have is a little too small for what I need. I'll give some thought to whether I want to try to frame something in the hole so the one you're selling will fit or maybe just go buy an actual dedicated in wall a/c.

    Is it 110V?

    Thanks for measuring it up.
