If I am going to continue racing this year I need to sell this rifle which is a complete thing of beauty but sadly I am out of options. I realize that this is not the typical clientele for such a rifle but I figured I would give it a shot here before going through gunbroker.
This is beyond rare. This is the prototype rifle used to develop the Cooper Firearms ultra-top end line, the limited edition CS-1 (custom shop 1) of which only 50 are being made. You will note that the serial number of this rifle is 2013 01-01...one of one. The only one of its kind in existence. The first production CS-1 Rifles were unveiled at the 2014 SHOT show and were serialized 2014 01-50, 2014 02-50, and were priced in the 14-20k range.
Exhibition grade claro walnut stock in a style only used on the CS-1 line (the custom hunter). It is checkered entirely by hand in a unique checkering pattern, so no other rifle will ever have it. An African Blackwood tip completes the stock.
As with all Cooper rifles, wood to metal fit is perfect and the finish is immaculate. Highly hand-polished blued steel barrel and action with some accents in a matte blued finish to really make it stand out.
This is the very first Cooper rifle to come from the manufacturer with a Jewell trigger, which is set to 1.25lbs. A 3 round box magazine feeds into an action that you simply have to feel to believe. Smooth does not even begin to cover it.
A competition grade match barrel from Wilson ensures that the rifle will exceed the Cooper accuracy guarantee of 1/2 MOA.
It comes with one piece Talley rings, a hand-tooled (again, unique) leather sling, Carl Zeiss Conquest 3-9x50 scope, and a Cooper Firearms canvas and leather soft case.
In short, this is one of the rarest and best rifles to ever leave the Cooper Firearms facility.
