Up for sale is my Craftsman Deluxe Mechanic Tool Cart. I bought the cart new about two years ago. I’ve used it only to hold the tools that come to the track with me. With the top compartment, 2 drawers and lower tray (along with lift-up side shelf), it makes a great racing/trackday tool cart.
It has only seen duty when racing at the track. Otherwise it’s kept in the trailer. At the track, I just wheel it out of the trailer and into the garages. At the end of the weekend it gets wheeled back into the trailer and strapped down until the next race weekend. It’s in great condition and been a great repository for all my track tool needs.
Specs:
All-steel construction with powder-coated finish
Lockable top compartment and internal drawer lock
ball-bearing drawers
lift-up side shelf
Side magnetic tool holder
Swivel casters with toe brakes
Lower tray provided for additional storage
35-1/2" H x 43-12" W x 16-1/2" D
Weight: 100 lbs.
I have the original two keys. I’ll also leave the liners in if you want them.
The reason for the sale: I’ve inherited a Snap-On cart just like this one, except it has an extra drawer. Otherwise, I would continue to use this one until I retire from racing (i.e., death).
Pictures: See below.
Location: Southwestern Connecticut. I will be up at Loudon for this coming the race weekend, September 1st & 2nd. I will also be attending the October 6th & 7th weekend.
Delivery Help: I am more than willing to help with delivery for those who live within a reasonable distance away. Meeting half way is usually what I’ve done before. To avoid having to drive some distance for someone who is only going to kick the tires and not buy, I require an advance payment to cover my gas to and from the meeting point. The amount of the advance payment will depend on the distance needed to be driven. If you don’t buy, then at least I’m not out gas money. I really don’t think it would be worthwhile to ship, but that would be your call and your dime.
Price: $150 obo. New these go for $250. Once in a while you can catch a sale on them for like $220. I figure this is a fair price.
