the Craftsman 3/8" or 1/2" Microtork Torque Wrench are $39.99 at sears on this year's BF...saw it on another forum, and just passing it along...
whether or not it's worth the trip on black friday is debatable
hmm, almost bought one when they were $80, unless i'm thinking of a different torque wrench
They sell for $94 dollars...just might pick one up!
Thanks![]()
i just looked through the BF ad for sears and did not see these in there??? What is your source? They DO have a lot of tools for 50% off so maybe they just skipped this in the ad? I hope so!
Nevermind, i found it, $39 is a killer deal, i will be swinging through sears friday...
ad attached...they're regularly $79.99, so this might be the one you were going to buy before
I figure the 3/8" drive might be useful to keep me from stripping all the bolts off on the bike when I over tighten them
does anyone know if these are accurate?
I'll buy whichevere isn't sold out but i would prefer the 1/2" drive so i wouldn't be afraid to use it on bigger things as well (car tires and Jeep pieces)
They actually have a boat load of good sales there
Like wrench sets for $10
ratchet wrenches for $30

Just placed my order online, you can choose instore pick up to save shipping cost, but the 6.95 shipping is worth the hassle of noit having to fight the crowds.

i'm not a mechanic and have never done much of anything as far as car mechanics or bike mechanics, but i figure this may be a good time to start...what size would be good to work on my bike this off season?? 3/4 or 1/2?? Any helpful insight would be greatly appreciated.
If you ain't first you're last!!
have you guys read the reviews on the 3/8 and 1/2 torque wrenches? saying 1 year warrenty & they broke on them.
3/4? whoa. good luck buying sockets. for you're bike, you might wanna get 3/8" drive. if you bought the 1/2", it would be fine, but maybe a little overkill. I have mostly 3/8" sockets with a 1/2" ratchet & 3/8 --> 1/2 converter socket.
yea I almost bought one in the store for $80 when i was repairing the bike. kinda glad i didnt now. but i might risk it, because i could use a torque wrench & i'm getting a new tool box for x-mas that will have plenty of space to fill.
ok, but there is such thing as 3/4" drive. just making sure you're buying the right tool.
I have had the 1/2" drive torque wrench for about 3 years and it still works fine for me. Not that I use it all the time, but things to remember when your done with any torque wrench is to ALWAYS reset it to zero, always keep it in the case when storing, and try not to drop it.
