Will this be valid for the Xbox One? I have my xbox live paid until 2/2014. But I could stash this for the next gen system.

I can't answer you 100% certain. Im pretty sure this is the only subscription you can buy...

It would be odd if they made everybody who purchases the XOne to also but a new subscription...but you may want to look it up from a reliable source to be sure.

It really wouldn't surprise me at all if that were the case... especially considering all the other stuff they are doing to screw over anyone even considering an X One regarding the lack of game sharing/used games, no backwards capability, and mandatory constant internet connection

Neither system will have backwards compatibility, and they reversed their policies on DRM and online check in (though now users are petitioning to have the original policies put back into place).

I'm not trying to turn this into a Microsoft debate...already have a thread for that.

As of now, there has been nothing mentioned of releasing a different subscription program.
