    Fat bike (bicycle) medium

    SOLD

    Upgrade-itis has hit hard.
Im in the process of building a full carbon fatty, and was going to cannabalize this one and rebuild it with its own parts as I got the real fast stuff for the carbon version, but I think just letting it go might be the better option.
It's a Minnesota 3.0. Bluto ready frame (tapered headset) if that's your thing.
It's got some standard upgrades, carbon bars and seatpost, and a SRAM x9 1x setup with a race face narrow/wide. X7 clutch type 10spd dérailleur out back. I haven't dropped a chain ever.

This has seen snow, beach sand, and woods miles, and is pretty capable of anything you want.
    $900. Price is firm.

The seatpost in this pic is no longer on the bike. I broke it. It's been replaced by a swanky crank brothers version with blue anodized bits up on the mechanical end.

I would be willing to drop the price $100 if you wanted the stock crankset put back on. I also have the front dérailleur and shifter too I think.

    Re: Fat bike (bicycle) medium

I've just ordered some aluminum bars and seatpost to put on this, with the front shifter and stock crankset.
This will be for sale now in essentially stock trim. Pricing will now be $700.

The x9 crankset will be available later for pretty short $, but the cranks I ordered for the new build are back ordered so I gotta use the x9's in the meantime.

I love these! These style bikes are all over Boston now. Not sure why! I wouldn't exactly classify it as urban bike. Lol. GLWYS

$700 in stock trim. Aluminum bars and post, 2x cheap truvative cranks.

As they say, winter is coming. But Ive been riding the fuck out of this with no snow, and it's pretty radical. Traction for days.

She's already built and got some miles on her. Still in my size though.

I'm just waiting on the actual crankset to show up.

    Re: Fat bike (bicycle) medium

Thx homie. I just raced it tonight at a short track mtb race. What a friggin hoot. I'm probably one of just a few people that jumped the cx barriers, and definitely the only dude on a fat bike to jump them. What a gigglefest.

Bumping this dead thread for a question for Chipper: how are 4" tires in the snow and sand? 170mm rear a bad idea?

    Re: Fat bike (bicycle) medium

4" tires are ok on stuff that's been well traveled, whether it be fattys or snowshoes or xc skis.
Don't think you're gonna go out and blaze your own trail on anything deeper than 5" no matter what size tire you put on.
I have 4.0 on my new bike, and will probably go 4.6 or 4.7 for the snow.

170 isn't too bad, offset rear ends are a pain though, if you want to start changing things. Really with a 170r your limiting factor will be tire clearance in the frame. You might not be able to run some of the fatter tires.
