father's garage clean out, buell, mini bikes, motors

well my father is cleaning out his garage and basement. looks like all his motorized toys are going and he asked me if i could help get them sold.

i'll start with the easy stuff.

low hour Honda 6.5 HP engine. horizantal shaft...perfect for mini bike or go cart. 200$

craftsman 2.5 HP horizantal shaft. good for minibike. 50$

JC whitney style 1970s minibike with equally ancient 5 HP briggs&stratton. runs great. no suspension, barely any brake. proper death trap. 150$

2001 KTM mini adventure 50. great first bike fo juinor. we taught about every kid in the neighborhood to ride on this thing. 500$

2000 Buell X1 "millenium". not gonna lie this bike has been around the block. crashed on street and track and could quite possibly be cursed. it's currently in road trim (track conversion takes about an hour). has some goodies... penske shock, steering damper, vance and hines exhaust with buell race ecm. braded brake lines. barnett clutch. 3 differant seats. and there are even some carbon fiber bits that havn't been ground through yet. bike is flat black and kind of scary looking. if you want to check it out bring a long stick to poke at it with. last time i got near it i woke up in the ambulance. clean title in hand, with certificate of orgin from dealership just outside hell.

the don't make them like this anymore...probably for liability reasons. $2500

pictures will be availible shortly and if there is enough interest.

How's your father doing? I haven't seen or heard from him in a couple of years.

he is doing ok. though he is now on heart meds of some sort that take racing out of the question. seems he's had enough riding anyway and is looking to spend his weekends fishing now.

i'll be sure to tell him you said hello.

    some pics.

    first the 50.

the old bike...it's getting a new axel right now...and that dark ominous oil patch did not come from the bike.

    the buell.

    otherside.

EDIT: almost forgot...will throw in vortex rear and LP front stand in with the buell for an extra 100 bucks. handy when you pull the side stand for track days.

all crap is located in somerset. mass, 02726.

local delivery can be worked out for most of the larger stuff.

    it's a 1200cc V twin, redlines at 6.5K (7 with the race ECM).

it has 26,000 street miles and about 1500 track miles (for which the speedo was disconnected)

yup that's my pops. i'll be sure to tell him you said hi. anyway...the front stand is the pin type and i we have the full assortment of pins to fit any bike.

he'll consider selling the stands sepratly for 50 bucks each but would prefer they just go with the bike.

Well, if he wants to see what happens, that's cool. You know who to look for if he wants to seperate them from the x1.

pop's wants this stuff gone soon. that's your cue to start making resonable offers. he'll take less for almost all of it (except the KTM).

If that 6.5HP Honda is a GX200, the $200 is a very good price for a low hour model. Very popular in karting, and depending on the crank could be the same model used in $800+ pressure washers. Good luck

yup, it's a GX200..it came of an industrial grade pressure washer, that was found (rescued) at the dump.

i think the rest of the pressure washer parts are around somewhere.

it'll make a 1970s mini bike keep up with a zuma 50 on the way out to pre-reg.

    Good engine, good price.

If I didn't already have a brand new one sitting in the garage, and yours was cheaper I'd buy it just to have as a spare for my pressure washer.
