Between track days and flying, I don't see myself riding street much (if at all) this year, so I'm considering parting with my FZ-1, hopefully to someone that will ride it. Has ~48K, Pilot Power 2CT's with plenty of life left, and a new chain last year (<500 miles). Stock suspension w/freshened forks.
Mods: double bubble windscreen, stainless lines front and back, Yosh Rs3 pipe, Ivans jet kit. Frame sliders, Rizoma bars, heated grips, Stebel horn (loud!), GYT-R riser (lowers bars 1"), aftermarket levers (I forget what brand).
The tail section, bar end, and frame slider have some rash from going down in the rain at NHMS (Turn 2) last fall. Other than that the bike fared fine, the tank and upper didn't touch.
I'm thinking $2300.

I've ridden this bike and it's an absolute joy. Silky smooth, comfortable, and gobs of power. Scott is a good guy too!
Smokin' deal man. This should sell super quick.

I'm interested. Have the valves been done? Also pics please!

Scott, someone in the FZ1OA classifieds is looking for a Gen 1 in New England. I posted this link, but you may want to PM him directly.
Sorry guys, I know I've had a lot of interest; Melissa convinced me to hold onto this until we move in a few weeks.

Where ya movin'?
Hi All - I know that this is a really old thread, but for the most part the FZ hasn't been ridden much over the past couple of years (no more track days, but lots of flying and mountain biking), and is roughly in the same shape. It does have ~49k on it now... I'm asking $2500
This is no longer a feeler. I have no time to mess with it, so the bike will include the Penske double clicker and Traxxion AK-20's. Both were gone through a few years ago, <1000 miles ago, by Peter Kates. Keep them and enjoy the fantastic ride, or remove them (I have the original parts) and get 600-700 bucks back after selling.
The bike does need some love. It runs fine, and rides fine, but the valves have never been done. I took it out on Christmas day and picked up a nail in the rear tire, so there's a plug.
Please PM.
Hi Ted! It's been a long time. I hope that all is well.
Never saw this post - we moved to Maynard, which we've come to love.

You taking a break from riding or buying a new toy?
"Could you elaborate on that a bit? Just telling me not to run a specific tire, and giving me no true logical explanation is like telling me I'm going to get my dick sucked tonight, and not by whom."
Both! Think about it.
