We're hoping that Jay will be able to take this dog, but there is a little info I wanted to share in case he isn't -

My Mom brought her over to a friend's house yesterday, where she spent the day rough-housing with 2 female black labs. They stole her bones, she licked them and kept trying to get them to play. She has not been aggressive at all, ever, since my mother had her (about a week now).

She is missing some teeth, which the vet says were likely left in the hides of the coyotes who attacked her. She is, however, healthy now and should make a 100% recovery, minus the loss of teeth obviously.

I have three 20 minute races, one day, once a month in the summer, and dogs are allowed at the track. I'm not too worried about it.

Ms. Lippy, the part I dont like about the story, is that the kid quits looking for the dog after five minutes. You gotta think, if you have a dog, you have a responsibility. You don't just sit around, you get off your ass and your FIND THAT FUCKING DOG.

Dogs are a huge responsibility. Much then you would ever think Jay. No more being at Boston and crashing at your friends place. You have a dog to let out and feed. Each night you spend not at home just think you will need to find someone to let the dog out. Think it through. I love Buster a ton but he requires so much work. It was a lot easier when i had roommates but I would never trade him up.

Yes you can. Sometimes, when fighting a forest fire, it's a good move to start a controlled fire yourself in order to create a strip of burnt ground to act as a firebreak.
