I just think the poor dog will be left alone way to long with your hectic work, school, racing, and party schedule. What are you going to do between work and school? Run back to NH and let him out? Not trying to be a jerk but a dog is a lot of work. Friday after work when everyone is going out for a drink I have to say no because I need to head home and let the dog out. I must be back at my house at least every 12 hours to let him out. 12 hours is even a really long time.

In any event, this may be a non-event - my Mom is going on vacation on Wednesday, and hasn't found anyone she can leave the dog with (the friggin boarding kennel said no as soon as they heard the word "pitbull" ), so she has spoken with her local pitbull rescue, and they said they will take the dog.

I'm hoping the pitbull place will consider watching the dog for a couple of days until my Mom gets back, she is supposed to call them and let me know.

For whatever my two cents are worth, I hope Jay gets this pooch, I think he would do a great job of taking care of it and teaching it how to party.

The boarding kennel sounds fishy. I have never heard of a kennel refusing a dog based of breed. I have had no issues boarding Buster who is part pit. I have had dogs all my life and have been walkign dogs at the Bedford Animal Rescue Leauge lately. The best option is to bring that dog to them to find a good owner. I am not sayign Jay would not be a good owner but I do not think he has the time for a dog between work, racing, school, and the rest of his life.

There is a big difference between a pitbull and part pitbull. As I am finding out, people are terrifed of pitbulls. Which is ironic, because this dog is such a big goofball. She has the personality of a black lab.

I had a dog when I was in school. It went everywhere with me. I never locked my car doors, there was always rather unpleasant German Sheperd inside.
