Free trackday!

This is a tough call...

Ideally, the purpose of all these "freebies" that are floating around is to encourage new people to try out our events.

This particular "freebie" was set to April 29th only, because that is the date that has open space... the 28th is close to full.

Moving someone INTO the 28th doesn't really make sense, and would incur a fee per the cancellation policy.

So... I guess I would say you could enter and if you won, you'd owe the $50 to move your first date? Still a cheap trackday?

I am going to have to respectfully withdraw from this......

I will not have health insurance coverage for this date. I read the website and it doesn't say that it is required, but i don't want to complicate anything. should something happen i can't accumulate anymore bills than i currently have.

Doing a trackday... or riding period... without health insurance is asking for trouble.

I'll assume you're referring to me. Not sure what's suspicious about it, since you can see I joined last year, not Monday when I saw this post. Though I have been browsing and reading the forums when I get the chance, until recently I had been working tons of hours, trying to finish a house, and finding time for my 3 and 4 year olds. Now I have some free time to ride and one way or another want to do a trackday. Draw your own conclusions, but I'm not trying to pull anything funny here, just thought I would give this a try, since there's a good chance I won't be able to afford it on my own for a few months.

It's not that I'm worried, and I don't want to seem like I'm being defensive about anything. I just don't want anyone to get the wrong idea, or think I just jumped on here just for a chance at this. Believe me, I can take criticism, and plenty of ribbing (I get enough of it at home), as long as everybody is on the same page. Hopefully now that I have time, I'll be able to participate in the forums a little more, and hopefully meet up with some of you at a bike night or a ride sometime. Basically I have said what I wanted, and I'll leave it at that.

Well one guy joined in 02. Id say he has been a member long enough to enter even though he doesnt post much. His wife definitely makes up for it.

Yup. Don't post much, but read every once in a while. she talk about you guys all the time so it kind of makes up for it. Met some of you on some rides or at the parties she put together. would be nice to try a trackday, maybe it will make me fall in love with my bike all over again, show me a different aspect of sport riding. Getting tired of riding the streets with uncomfortable power house bikes.
