AZ car... has been sitting in new england for aprox 1 year. needs new battery and carb cleaning to run. drove it cross country from AZ before that. ran great. has dent in quarter panel behind drivers side door. repairable but not pretty. really it just needs a full restoration. worth a pretty penny once retored though. pretty rare car. engine parts interchangable with similar year VW. more pictures and info available if you are interested.

$2,500 firm.... need money for school and racing.

If it's really an E model, why does it have carbs?

a yes, let me clarify that. it no longer has the injection system. it was replaced with duel webers by one of the former owners. apparently the fuel injection system was abit problimatic. and before anyone asks. no i don't have the injection stuff in a box somewhere, sorry.

    I see, thanks.

What does the pan look like? Is the car from Arizona? How are the heat exchangers? Does the motor leak oil (okay, how much does it leak and from where )? Does it turn over and try to fire?

a little rust is starting to appear from sitting for a year but it's just surface rust. no oil leaks but it does burn alittle....maybe a quart every 500 miles? probably abit less than that. the engine cranks and will sputter even with a weak battery. it might start with just a new battery???? i'm not gonna lie the 1970s electronics are wonky, but working. has fairly new dual oil coolers, one under passanger side, one under the driver. worked great to keep AZ heat at bay, but makes it abit cold blooded if it's cool out.
