    SOLD: 1997 CBR600F3

Time to sell Annalisa's bike. This bike is in decent shape. It was dropped by the former owner, so it has a little cosmetic damage, which can be seen in the pictures. It would make a great first bike for someone.

    Here are the details:

    1997 Honda CBR600F3
    21,400 miles
    Rock-solid engine and transmission
Zero Gravity Dark Smoke DB windscreen
Vance & Hines SS2R full exhaust system
    Stage 1 Factory jet kit

Done in the spring (about 1,500 miles ago):

New Pirelli Diablo Strada tires (120/70 ZR 70 front, 170/70 ZR 60 rear)
    New brake pads
    New D.I.D ERV525 gold chain
New Sprocket Specialists sprockets (stock gearing: 15 tooth front, 43 tooth rear)
New Vesrah clutch and new stock clutch cable
Forks serviced by GMD Computrack Boston (seals and oil)

KBB average retail is $2755 and NADA average retail is $2832.

Asking $2200, clean title, in hand.

This pic shows the cosmetic damage (small panel by near the engine, corner of the seat)

    Re: FS: 1997 CBR600F3

I want this bike so freakin' bad but can't do anything till my project car sells.

Wanna trade for a 2000 Subaru Impreza that only needs a motor?

If not, and you have this bike in a week you'll be hearing from me. BTW, if you want more info on the shell I can send you a link to my FS thread on another forum. It has lots of goodies on it still. Hell, I'd even include the engine block to give you a good start.

Sorry, no trades. I need to get things OUT of the garage. I currently have 4 bikes and a car in my 1 car garage.

i know someone on here that just totalled their ninja, and has been looking for a bike in the $2k range. This would be much better than those POS bike's he keeps finding on craigslist

i've seen this bike at my house last season, and the "cosmetic damage" that chuck is describing is really nothing.

That's a good deal. Those F3's were great bikes, easy to ride and dead reliable

I think he is hinting at something but I am not quite sure what...

For someone who cannot say enough you certainly are trying

Not to be the token douche bag pressuring you into getting a bike, but seriously.... the *BEST* part of riding season is approaching, there's nothing like fall riding in New England.

Actually, Srikar did come out to take a look at it, but he's torn at whether to spend the money on a bike or for school.

    Derrr that's a no brainer.

I'm pretty sure I used part of my college loans to fund either a bike or some tasty CF bits for a bike once....

the problem is I dont have a loan here in US ...all my funds come from India and as the exchange rate stands, every dollar i spend here costs ~50 times to my parents in India.

Thats the reason behind thinking a 1000000 times for spending on anything.

Sorry Chuck, the bike is in a very good condition, I thought it`d sell within a week for the price you are quoting.
Good luck. It was nice meeting you and Annalisa.

never buy at the begining of the season if you can help it. I've bought two bikes, both payed 1400 for.

the first was my 94 fzr 600 I bought at the beggining of the season it was ratty dropped and needed alot of work.

the one i have now is a 95 zx6r that had 15000 miles on it and was owned by a woman for most of its life. I picked it up on the first day of snow we had last year. It was kept in a garage and saw almost no rain, runs strong and is/ was clean as hell. I put about 600 into because the carbs needed rebuild from sitting and i was too impatient to do it myself.

your looking at a mandatory increase in prices of about 500 bucks going from end to begining of season. Also i was looking at an f3 last year and everyone on craigs list wants stupid money for them like 3g they are dumb. If i didn't have a bike already this one would be mine. Good luck with the sale man it looks very clean and like a great bike.

Just out of curiosity why are you selling?
