FS: 2004 GSX-R 600 Race/Track Bike $2,500

It's a great track bike that got me into the teens at Loudon and the low 30's at NYST and is capable of much more.

Comes with:
-Spare Suzuki wheels and rain tires
-Full ti-exhaust with Hindle muffler
-Woodcraft rearsets
-Woodcraft engine covers
-Woodcraft frame sliders
-Woodcraft Clip-ons
-Penske shock
-GMD Computrack valved forks.
-New Armour Bodies Race Bodywork.
-Battery Tender lead installed
-Adjustable steering damper
-Fully safety wired to CCS/ASRA spec

The bike needs some minor repair after a lowside at the end of last season, but this is a great opportunity to pick up a highly capable machine at a great price. I don't have any post-crash pictures right now but msg me if interested and I can get some to you. Located in Boston, MA. Bill of sale only.

The bike runs great - here's everything it needs to be good to go:
- Minor bodywork (armour bodies - should be fairly simple repair of some small cracks / rash)
- Foot peg / shift lever tip for woodcraft rearset
- Fairing stay - it has a graves bracket which broke but is supposed to be repairable, but looks like you can get a new (non-graves) one for $25
- Windscreen 20 bucks on ebay on a bad day

I started taking the bodywork off tonight to get the bike in top shape for sale, but I have two other bikes to get ready for Round 1 and I need to get this bike gone to pay for track goodies for the others.

Fair price - fast bike for those wondering what an '04 is like, it scoots right along.

In case you need any help convincing the wife....here's what a lowside on a ducati looks like.

For the price of a swingarm for that duc, you could have this bike....or for the price of a gas tank you could have this bike and still have $500 left over

...although if that's the goal from the outset, there are easier ways to get your hands on a salvage title bike.

Wait a minute, is that your Pani? I am still extremely puzzled by how your insurance covers track day use. Unless of course you tell them you crashed on the street, I suppose?

The decals on the fairing where the mirrors go are the last name of the previous owner. Time to take those off I think.

Actually, those stickers came off a while ago. That pic must be Mr. Kil-Mah himself.

Here's a pic post-sticker removal and another one that I took post-crash in my garage during LRRS Round 7.

The bike slid on it's left side.

As you can see, the tank is ok (chipped paint is about it.)

You can see where the footpeg and shift lever ground down. The rearset straightened out, but you'll probably want to get a new footpeg and shift lever tip from Woodcraft.

Just over the shift lever is the piece of the Graves bracket that broke off (almost covering the red knob that adjusts the clutch lever)

The windshield obviously needs replaced. The left hand grip is just about blocking the view of a ~4" crack in the left side of the upper fairing. The front and rear of the crack are sticking out.

The tail section needs more work than anything, but I think even that is relatively minor. It looks like you can lay some strips of fiberglass on the inside and you'll be good to go.

I remember hearing that your bike had some attention spent on it by a professional tuner. Of course I don't remember the details. Great bike though. Steal at that price.

Yeah, I got a good deal on it that helped me get into racing and I'm paying it forward within the NESR community.

I wish I had the time to fix it up, because I know it would move fast and for a lot more than this.

I ordered a windscreen last night, if I get time I'm just going to slowly start bringing this thing together. It's not a lot of work, I just have too much stuff going on right now.

Bought some fiberglass mat and resin on the way home today. Somebody buy this bike before I go to the trouble of fixing it and then sell it to somebody else for a lot more $$$
