    Hotbodies Race Bodywork...Buy 1 Get 1 Free

Hey guys, saw this on 600rr.net, figured I'd pass along the deal. For November this site has BOGO hotbodies race fairings. I'm looking to put a set on my 2006 600rr if anyone wants to go halves with me.

    Here's the link though!

Save your money and go with a better brand. I.e. Armour bodies, Shark skins ect. Contingency pretty much sucks (if you're looking to race) and the fitment looks like it came from a 1st grade art class.

This may all be irrelevant if you are good with fiberglass and bondo....

having a bike that came with Hot Bodies, i will only ride with SharkSkinz or Armour Bodies from now on. Quality stuff can be repaired forever.

Brendin can't do math, but he knows about sucky bodywork.

They are good if you need something to get by on. Obviously they aren't for everyone.

Believe me, if $$ wasn't an issue I wouldn't be looking for someone to go halves with me on an $800 pair of plastics... I'm probably not going to be investing $1100 on a set of sharkskinz, I'm still in the building stages with my bike, so a cheap set of plastics is all I need. Anywho, if anyone else is in the same situation as I am, let me know.

your honest best bet if you're on a starter budget is to buy a used set of SharkSkinz or Armour Bodies from someone.
Assuming you're looking for bodywork for that 03-05 CBR 6000rr in your avatar, it shouldnt be too difficult to find a set.

I have been lurking around for a used set as well. Nothing local so shipping is the killer so far. I mean, I've got a shopping list for next year, so no real rush. If everyone here says that hotbodies are complete garbage, I guess I'll have to take your word for it!

I had hotbodies on my old bike. I got it pretty beat up but did some shitty repairs myself and used it for 2-3 seasons and a couple crashes. it was ok. not as good as the armour bodies on my current bike but better than nothing.

I would say the best bet is to find a bike that already has that and everything else known to man so you don't have to pay an arm and a leg..... That is, unless you already have the bike. Then just sell it and get a race ready bike.

i have hotbodies on my bike. sure they are not the best but for the price they are plenty fine. i crashed last season in mine and they held up well. (ill be rocking them next year) for the price i think they are fine. some people just dont have all that money to dump on a really nice set of plastics to crash in haha also lets not forget these would be half priced cheap race plastics

Hotbodies = not good (unless, of course, you have low finish standards, like struggling with fitment and enjoy using onetime disposable bodywork). Like others have said, be smart and buy a used set of Sharkskinz if you are on a budget ... my second choice would be Armour Bodies. I have, and use, both. Be patient, they come along every so often on 600rr.net and other forums (even eBay). Shipping isn't a bargain, but its not too bad if the bodywork is packed correctly. Plus, it has been my experience that a lot of times sellers are willing to work with you on the cost of shipping (especially in the off season) to get the bodywork out of their garage.

Just scrolling through the forums and I have never had a problem with Hotbodies! I have been working with them for 3 years now and every set of bodywork I've ever bought has mounted great and the best part is their customer service is awesome. Hotbodies also includes a free windscreen with each set of bodywork too!
