FS: Bell Star helmet size L - like new $400

For Sale is one (1) 2008 Bell Star helmet, size Large. You may have hear/read about this helmet as it was heavily featured in all of the motorcycle publications this past summer. It's Bell's return to the high-end performance motorcycle helmet world and they pulled out all the stops with the Star. It's a premium-level lid and I race in one myself.

The one I have for sale has less than 700 miles of use and was only used by one person (my father) for 3 days. He came to visit me back when I lived in California and used this helmet during that time. He loved it.

The helmet vents extremely well, better than any helmet I've ever worn on my head. I'd liken it to wearing a baseball cap. When you have all of the vents open, this baby moves some SERIOUS air through the shell. It vents so much air that earplugs are a must, but you should be wearing those anyway.

Also the Star's much heralded visor mechanism does in fact work the business. Visor swaps take about 5 seconds and is very simple, efficient, and painless. I also like the fact the padding is removable/washable and the provided helmet bag is very nice. Not one of those $3 helmet 'bags' that some of the other companies provide. This helmet bag is a full-fledged unit and is right up there with my Ogio helmet bag.

I have my own personal Bell Star at my helmet painter right now and he emailed me recently commenting on the great build quality of the Star. He said that it's right up there/better than the top-line Arai's and Shoei's he's painted. Fit and finish according to him was very high.

Note on Sizing- These helmet tend to run a bit large so keep that in mind. I wear a Large Arai Quantum/f and Medium Bell Star.
