FS: Nearly Brand New Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro STREET tires

OEM on my new 848, 500 miles on them and some rubber furs still showing. 120/180 set, if someone is interested in them I will likely go with the Diablo Corse III. These are GREAT tires though, if nobody wants em I will keep them!

$200? They'd be available for pickup or mounting at the track this weekend!

That thread title may be a bit misleading to some... You call these "street tires" cuz they were only used on the street, not because they're not still DOT race tires, right? Or are they different than your typical Dragon Supercorsa Pros?

I needed Duey to interpret which Pirelli is which the other day. I would have thought that the Dragon Supercorsa Pros were the top of the line DOT but I've learned otherwise. Is there some way to figure out which is more grip vs. tire wear? I'm trying out some Pirelli's for the first time this week. I'm looking forward to seeing the difference between those and my Michelins. Or if I can even tell the difference. Up to now I've only run Michelins on the track.

Re: FS: Nearly Brand New Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro STREET tires

To explain, these are NOT track compound tires. The Dragon / Diablo is in reference to the tread pattern, the Diablo replaced the Dragon for DOT RACE compound tires. The tires I have are OEM street rubber and do NOT have a compound designation such as SC0,1,2,3,4 (or more commonly referred to by color, e.g. Blue, Green, Yellow, etc.)

The tires that we (Boston Moto) sell are Dragon Supercorsa Pro DOT racing tires, in blue, green and yellow compounds, they are last year's race tire. We also have the Diablo Supercorsa DOT racing tire in the same compounds, which are this year's racing tire and replacing the Dragons.

The tires I'm selling are a street compound rubber and are what comes on new 848's and 675's. A great street tire!

the ones Scottie is selling are not aftermarket, they are OEM...

    DOTs

Diablo SuperCorsas - top of the line race tire - they last longer than the Dragons

Dragon SuperCorsa Pro - effectively last years top of the line race tire (at a discounted price) Great trackday riders and most racers will never reach their limits

Re: FS: Nearly Brand New Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro STREET tires

To answer your question Kermita, it's a fine line and matter of preference.

For the RACING tires, the Diablo is a newer design than the Dragon and has a different compound formulation and carcass construction. From the feedback we have been hearing, they feel very similar and the Diablo tends to last a little longer. Most people prefer the Diablo, but I wouldn't be able to tell you if that means it's not worth getting the Dragon special we have going on right now. Everyone seems to really like the Dragons as well and that is a fantastic price! Unfortunately I have not personally been able to ride the Diablo yet, however it is our new top-of-the-line DOT racing tire.

We have Diablos available in Blue, Green and Yellow compounds. Dragons are available in Blue (front) and Green (rear) only, which is the most popular combination at Loudon.

If you have any further questions do not hesitate to PM me, Boston Moto or give me a call (I can PM you my number if you don't have it).

Re: FS: Nearly Brand New Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro STREET tires

FWIW I've pushed this OEM STREET tyre pretty hard on the track on multiple 1098's and 848's with not much issue. You can rip them WAY harder than the Corsa III's.

    Good tyre and great price.
