I saw this on Craigslist, so I'm sharing. Hope I'm not stomping on a NESR member sale, just remember there was a couple people here interested in purchasing Hawks.

Year does not matter here. This hawk has the same motor that Geno has in his hawk. It has new parts and is in great condition. If you want an ULSB machine...this is it. Not sure if the front end is legal though. This isn't your barn find hawk.

Chipper's right, front end isn't stockish. A bit on the high side but reasonable for nice sorted. Plenty of tasty bits on it.

I don't think so haha. The vintage rules are very strict on modifications.

First..not vintage legal. Front end must be same period , but I do have a Hawk front end that would bolt up.

Second, I just spent coin for Penske and suspension so my race budget is tapped....for now. 700 kit would be fairly easy to install in my motor..along with a cam but when I am riding what I have better I will give it some thought. I am trying to ride a slow bike fast first.

I recognize this hawk...it was originally for sale in the hinesburg vt area last year sometime, for everyone's FYI. Has an f2 front end, aprilia bodywork if I remember correctly, didn't check the ad.

F2 front end is legal for vintage, if that is the case. I ran a F3 front end with no issues in the F3 P4 class FWIW.

Any front end you want is legal for LRRS/CCS Ultralight Superbike. It's the vintage / proddy classes you'd have an issue with. I've got a stock VFR400 non-USD front end, if anyone snaps this up and wants a period correct front end!

I doubt this motor is built like Henry or even mine, I don't see heads, crank or other important parts listed.

$2800 IS high for this bike in this economy I am sad to say.

Talked to this guy about the hawk. He is pretty motivated to sell. I guess there has been a lot of interest but no one serious. Someone make him an offer. Wish I could afford another bike.

So, this Hawk now sits in Vermont on Trouble's barn. Good place for it, eh?

Took it for a spin in Jersey last weekend. There are still a couple issues to work out but it's getting closer to being a race bike!
