2004 Ducati ST3 in the fastest color, Ducati Red
Ducttape not included.
Pretty much bone stock. The only 'bling' on the bike is a set of 24k gold plated clutch and brake reservoir covers. I'm not kidding, mil spec gold plating done by a friend after the OEM powdercoat went to crap. A Ducati branded Bagster leather tank cover, Leo Vince carbon fiber pipes, Duc perf top case, clear rear turn signal lenses and a PC3 Power Commander round out the modifications.
I also have a backrest pad, rear tail light kit and interior light for the top case from Ducati, but never got around to installing them. That's right, not only can this thing haul the fixings for a good BBQ party, it has a light so you can start prepping the feast in the dark.
I have a Sargent seat on order as the stock seat cover has decided to disintegrate. The bike was garage stored in winter, but under a cover outside the rest of the year, I suspect the heat of the sun through the cover essentially 'cooked' the seat cover. Too bad too as it's a comfy seat for distance despite being OEM.
There is a scratch on the right bag, and two scrapes on the bellypan, other than that it's clean. It's never been down, but it has been ridden on every type of road imaginable so it's got some rock nicks, etc.
The bike's been stored and serviced at Moto Milano in Windham ME, and is currently on display amongst the used machines up there if you want to see it in person or ask about it's service history. It's had all the updates, which along with the PC3 make it one of the smoothest running at low RPM Duc's I've ridden to date, and at 105hp at the rear wheel, one of the strongest ST3s I or the shop has seen.
The machine currently has just under 9000 miles. I've owned it since new in 04... just not riding it enough and now that Gen has her own 620 Monster it's overkill for what riding I'm doing. This bike needs someone that will RIDE it.
The best pics I have on hand are from my honeymoon trip to Nova Scotia, so you can just deal with the cute! (The 'Captain Kirk' boots and pants combo are also NOT part of the deal.)
$6500 or best offer, not interested in trades at the moment.

I thought you had sold this... I am very interested.
Let's work something out. I need to sell the 998.

Bump - Updated with new pics from Saturday. You can see the seat cancer that errupted this year... New seat is still on backorder with Sargent, due to be shipped in November... bastards. You'll still get the seat weather it's in or not when you pickup the bike. The scrape on the bellypan are pictured, along with new damage from while the bike was in storage at the shop, the abrasion on the tipover wing above the belly pan and the matching marks on the mirror. The pic makes them look worse than they are, but still not happy about them. The bike was dropped in the rain during a rather sudden storm as they scrambled to get everything back inside under cover, new guy was in a rush it seems.
Oh well, it is a 6 year old touring machine, can't be perfect I guess.
I've got $15k in house repair work coming up, this thing needs to gooooooo!
Are they fixing the damage that they caused?

As is where is, other than the seat. They buffed the plastics as best they could, any other improvement is going to require a visit to a body shop or whole new panels which isn't happening.
Your shop dropped your bike and are not going to repair it?

Any more than they have, nope, and I'm not going to chase it. Not worth the time or effort for what really is nothing. I'm looking to sell the bike, not get into a pissing contest with a shop thats doing me a favor by storing it and displaying it amongst their machines. The cost to fix it far outweighs any change in value, I don't want to wait for the local body shops to drag their asses getting it done, I'm opting to live with the marks after buffing and being upfront about them to anyone considering the bike.
The bike is OBO, if the marks really bother someone throw me an adjusted offer, the worst I can say is no.
Not trying to drive the price down or anything. I would just be PISSED if someone dropped my bike and didn't offer to fix it.
I really wish I could buy this but until I sell the 998 it isn't gonna happen. I'll let you know. (Unless you wanna take payments)![]()

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, they would have sent the bodywork out if I wanted, but after they buffed it I waved them off as mismatched Ducati Red looks far worse than some light scuffs, and I didn't want the bike stuck in the back sans panels for possibly a couple months instead of out and visible. It's been a couple months since the issue occurred so going back and asking for a full repaint/etc now would require more consternation than I'm game for.
I have been keeping an eye on eBay though, every now and then the company that makes CF panels for Ducati unloads a couple full carbon fairing kits for the ST for VERY cheap... : ) I haven't checked Duc official pricing to see if they've cut prices to unload their stock yet... hrmmm.... : )
For some reason now seems like a good time to trawl this up to the top. : )
It is a "good time" considering I just sold my 998, but I found an 08 S2R 1000 with 425 miles on it that I am going to look into. Sorry Bud.

No worries, that S2R should be a sweet machine, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.
November bump. I want to race next year which means I have to unload toys THIS year. Garage is nearing completion so I can start a race bike build once a certain Duc is turned into cash...

I need cash, I don't need a sport tourer.
$5500 CASH, no trades/checks/payment plans.
It's not listed on CL, not sure I want to deal with that mess. At this point I don't see that I'll be returning to LRRS racing even if it sells, house is going to suck up all my spare funds for awhile yet. Only time I'll be hitting a track in anger will be on my mini.
I gave up on waiting for Sargent to do a run of ST seats and bought an OEM seat for it, seat cancer fixed.
2011 is about to start, I'm no closer to being back on track and am getting crazy thoughts about trading for a Bandit 400 just to have SOMETHING to run on track in ULSB... don't make me do it.
2011 bump, bike is now on CL for $6500, $5500 cash still wins for NESRians with cash in hand.
Bump. Someone buy this! I've seen it in person, awesome machine! Plus, I want Krazy Kurlon on the grids this year damnit!
Hah, thanks for the bump DDK. New OEM seat has been installed, old seat with cancer is in my garage, getting uglier. Worth having recovered as the foam is fine and I think it's a damn good distance seat.
