    Oxy/acetylene torch

I have an oxy/acetylene torch that I don't use. It's a Harris, and setup for cutting metal. Comes with a Radnor regulator set. Weighs a ton. $150 obro

FWIW, oxy/acetylene makes amazing potato gun fuel. Hairspray goes "boom!"... oxy/acetylene goes "BANG!"

That being said, I think I used a piece of plywood as a shield between me and the potato gun every time my dad was crazy enough to try that as a fuel.

This is one case you DO NOT want to get the fuel/air mixture "just right"...ask me how I know.

Nope -- I don't have any to include. The tanks are quite expensive, I think about $300 new.

I'd like to put this thing on eBay, but the trouble is I don't know what it's worth. Is anyone familiar enough with these things to give me an idea?

I use to get it just right up on Animal Hill. Making firecrackers. Filling balloons with the mixture and putting them in a paper bag and lighting the bag. One time I filling a trash bag and set it off with a skyrocket. Did you hear it in Somerville?

    Re: Oxy/acetylene torch

Do you know what model the torch body is? (I'm actually only familiar with the Victor style torches... I *assume* Harris is similar, but would like to look it up).

I assume it comes with only a cutting body / attachment. Please correct me if that's wrong.

Hoses included? R or T rated hoses? I assume R.

    Get a hot flame
    Snuff it
    Fill garbage bag
    Float into camp fire

I am no longer acquiring stuff but an welding set has many uses once you own one

I have a spare set of tanks and cart I would donate to this cause if someone wants a setup. I think I even have a spare set of houses.

Christian - if you have a spare set of tanks / cart I'll certainly take them off of your hands regardless of getting this particular torch.

Am out of the country for work but I'll be back on Monday. I'll post pics then. And damn, a spare set of tanks would be awesome if someone has 'em!
