I have a 89 ex 500 race bike, I started racing it last yr and moved up to a sv this yr and am playing with the idea of selling it . It is an 89 it has 16" wheels now but I have everything to convert it to 17" , have swing arm , front and rear wheels ,rear disc brake set up, caliper and master cyl ,it has a gmd re valved frontend has an sv conversion rear shock, has shindy steering stabilizer, air tech front fairing, woodcraft clipons,it has late model 06 master cylinder on the front, with Galfer stainless lines new ebc pro;lite rotor with new sbs hh sintered race pads, new chains and sprockets . All parts that are stated as new have,like 4 practices and 2 races on them , the last 2 weekends of last yr bike has not been run this yr. I just had a new top end done for the bike , not yet installed over bored.050mm I believe as little as possible 1st oversized piston, new pistons and rings all new intake valves, exhausts are ok and all new valve seals.The bike is still all together and running as is just alittle low on compression on one cyl.. I have a lot of spare parts for this also, engine parts spare trans, carbs, radiator, levers, switches ,cdi box,and more I am sure.I'd like to try and get 1700.00 for it or a reasonable offer. You'll have a much better chance of getting your asking price after going through w/ the 17" conversion. The market for EX500's has dropped dramatically lately

With that said, bump for a great super cheap entry level race bike. There's no better fun-to-dollar ratio race bike out there.

I haven't got time to do the conversion, It actually took me most of the summer to get the motor done, I had the head done and the boring back in May just no time . I run a res. construction company and most of the time it's a 6 day a week job. so time to covert is out of the ? unless I have the bike still in the winter I may be able. As far as pics I'll try and get some up this weekend If I can find time.maybe Sunday. I'll have the bike at the track Friday and maybe Thursday if I can escape early. I'll be at the track all weekend for the races . bike can be seen there LRRS#442
