Excellent track day transportation. Throw a camper on the back of this thing and you'll be all set for track days. Will haul 20000 lbs on paved road. That's a lot of bikes.
Yes, I am serious, not kidding you. I am selling my 1992 BMY Harsco M923A2 5-ton military truck that I had for many years. It has 27K on the odometer. Cummins 6CTA8.3 Turbodiesel with Allison 5-speed automatic. ABS equipped, works like a charm. The truck is completely gone through, everything works as it should, including CTIS (Central tire Inflation System). The truck was prepared to serve as a platform for an expedition camper. It has a second 78 gallon diesel tank installed, extending your range to a roughly 700 miles. The exhaust was changed to run all the way back (instead of up and above the cab) making it very quiet compared to the original military configuration. The cab has hard top roof, extra insulation, this is far and away the quietest M900 series military truck that I know. Three air-ride seats with 5-point harnesses (I believe they came from an MRAP, but don't quote me on that). Battery bank relocated and converted to civilian truck batteries that are a lot cheaper than military batteries. A dual-voltage high output alternator installed. The truck has a true dual voltage 12V/24V system, which is great if you intend to put a 12V camper on the back of it. New 14R20 General tires all around (all 6). Truck has coolant filter, LED headlights, locking door handles and probably other upgrades that I forgot about. Pictures available upon request.
The truck is over 25 years old, it can be registered as antique/personal use vehicle in MA. You don't need a CDL to drive one of these. With an automatic transmission it's easy to drive for what it is.
Reason for selling: family grew, so I got an M1083 5 ton that has a bigger cab.
Price $15K, negotiable a little bit.
