Clarification, Ray answer all my questions first time around... when i said "save you the trouble of asking the same thing of the seller 10 times" i mean instead of having 10 possible buyers asking him the same thing 10 times, id just post up the info to save everyone the trouble.
Also whats up with these stickers? The MilleRSV one's not even from this bike? And the other one is sideways...

I would think of all the things mentioned above, the stickers would be the least of anyones worries.
I'm not a potential buyer, but out of sheer curiosity, may I ask why you never registered in MA after having owned it for over a year?
Have anyone taken the bike for a test ride?
I thought there was a mass law that you can't sell a vehicle if the title is not in your name unless you have a dealers license.
might want to be careful and/or confirm this.
I don't know about Mass, but in RI it would be against the law for him to sell it. It's all about the sales tax money..if the title is not in his name, he didn't pay sales tax!
To the OP, if you'd like to start a THIRD thread on this same bike AND state all the facts about it, we will make sure it stays on topic!
per the forum rules...You can also delete or close this thread if you'd likePlease include all important information and an accurate description about the item you're selling...
Yamaha
You're supposed to title it within 30 days. You have to pay the sales tax at that time. I had to pay a penalty on my new V-Strom in 09 because I bought it from a NH dealer in Nov and didn't apply for title and reg until the following March.
If you're looking at a car that hasn't been signed over, it's often because the guy is trying to flip it: meaning you are probably overpaying.
Whoa... Wait a minute, read the last bike for sale link posted above, it appears you scammed an '03 Replica on the Aprilia forum? Please explain.
I'm all for the legit sale of this bike if it is legit, but not scamming others in forums.
Can a Mod investigate.
Friend: man riding this really hurts my balls
Me: Well you're not supposed to sit on your balls!
My apologies, they just thought it was a scam. Good luck with your sale.

Yeah, I don't like the looks of this. It seems to me like you are running an unlicensed bike dealership here, and failing to disclose this to the buyers. We've had members who had troubles registering bikes before due to weird title problems; it's ugly and it creates a lot of tension around here. We don't need that shit just so you can make a buck.
He did offer to go to the DMV with me in CT to register it in my name prior to cash exchanging hands. But all the red flags add up to me having to pass despite the fact that I love the bike and so does the girl.
I couldn't imagine why such a nice bike at a fair price hadn't been sold... but this thread has certainly been revealing. The "open" tiltle speaks for itself... a big no-no.
Open title within a month or two is no big deal, however 1.5 years after, after doing $600 woth of service andbsipping from HI to MA is just strange.

Well this thread just got good. And I've spent so much time drooling over this bike too.
Really??? You're gonna turn the thread into that? I'm VERY interested on hearing more from the OP, not listening to rediculous analogies about breaking the law...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I'm curious, Io-Bot stated that the bike was purchased by Ray a year and a half ago via Ebay from someone in Hawaii. However..... over on the 'Vette forum, it was offered up as a trade towards a ZO6 with the following description:
"What I have to trade:
Well....lets start with $12,000 CASH
In addition I have an INCREDIBLE LIKE NEW 2007 Aprilia RSV Mille R 1000 Factory with 3,700 miles on it. Paid $17,900 new in 2008. This is an amazing cycle with upgrades that make it ready for the street or the track. Be sure to do your homework on this bike!"
