So here's the deal.
I don't ride all my bikes as much as I should. Can't justify keeping all of them anymore. Life has gotten increasingly busy, and I find I do the most of my riding on the track or at Deal's Gap with the SV, or on commuting/long distance touring trips on the Vstrom.
The Vmax. She's pretty mint. 20 years old, so there is some oxidation here and there, but really not too bad for the age. Could be easily touched up to make it cherry, but it's a bike that lives inside in a heated garage year round. 21k miles or so.
Valves were just adjusted.
Carb boots were replaced.
Steering head bearings replaced with roller tapered bearings. New fork seals, front springs and Ricor Intiminator valves.
Braided front lines with rebuilt calipers, Galfer green pads. Rebuild masters, both front and rear.
Runs/rides/wails as good as any stock Vmax. No 2nd gear issues. No charging issues. VBoost has been left stock and kicks in at 6k.
Motor/exhaust/intake is bone stock. Lights are stock. Seat is stock, Corbin comes with it.
I'm looking for a fun playbike that's a 4 stroke, but NOT a DRZ/KLR/DR/KLX.
350cc and up modern engine. Plated with lights to pass in MA. The ability to toss a set of motard rims on there for trackday fun is a huge plus, though I don't expect anything to come with the wheels. Just having the ability to do so would be nice in the future.
Just throwin it out there. Probably not gunna get any bites, but if there is anyone out there that wants a brutally fast cruiser that sounds like a wound up smallblock Chevy, the Vmax is it.
I'll consider selling outright, $4000 or best offer. It's ready to roll.
Picture for fun. Cat doesn't come with it cause she's dead.
