yep, it works in the car. i have everything to have it set up in a car, and it also works as a personal satallite radio with just headphones if youre outside. you can also tune into your wifi at home and sync sirius off the internet. pretty sweet unit, but i dont use it anyomore.

ill try to get some pics taken soon. its in great condition and comes with the original box.

there is an adapter ill include that plugs into the back of your radio where your fm antenna plugs in. you will still have use of your fm radio, but youll also be able to use sirius.

OR

you can use an 1/8" plug and plug it right into your aux input if your car has one on the dash. thats the easiest solution. just a regular double male end input wire from radio shack for 8 bucks works...

like you said, there is a transmitter built into the docking station i believe
