Looking on behalf of a friend who is a new rider.
He needs a bike that will be gentle to him as he learns to ride, and is in good mechanical condition. It needs to be a solid runner.
A bike with less than 70HP please, ideally 40-50HP. For this guy, an EX500 is good, but R6 bad.
He is open to a cruiser or standard, he is not open to a full faired bike. I am encouraging him to start with a standard.
If you know of something let me know.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hey Bud,
Check out this thread. I know the bike. Very clean and has not been beaten on.

+1 on that bike. I haven't had the pleasure of riding it, but I have ridden with her and it is a very mechanically sound machine, treated well, no issues. If it was cheaper I would have bought it for a track bike, but that bike has plenty of good road miles left on it.
If he doesn't like the fairings, take them off.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Cool! Hope it works out for your buddy.
That's a perfect bike to learn on.
