    Warmers and transponder

Looks like I am not going to make it back to the track for quite some time, so selling off some stuff I don't need:

Woodcraft digital warmers like new, bought new in '09 and used 5 days. $350
Transponder, bought from LRRS back when they sold them, never used it. $250?

Open to any offers and can send pics, PM me if interested. I travel to MA frequently and can meet to drop off items.
    Thanks

Have you kept up the regular maintenance charge on the transponder? It should be fully charged and left to fully discharge every 3-4 months.

frenchy will take that transponder, but chuck is right about charging.
the battery might need to be replaced from that guy in Australia.
does it come with a charger?

Negative on the charger and it has not been charged since I bought it. It has been in warm dry storage, but no way for me to tell if battery is ok...

Battery is toast. They go bad if you don't charge them.

    Re: Warmers and transponder

Could be, I think someone could get a new battery and still be on the good side money wise as opposed to buying a new one? I know of one bought same time as mine and went much longer than 4 months with no charge, it's fine. Unfortunately I don't have access to a charger to try mine. I'll put them on wera later today and feel it out. I'll sell this one cheap enough that if someone had to spend $100 on a battery they wouldn't get hurt. If anyone wants to go that route I am open to any offers..

    Re: Warmers and transponder

Chris, your best bet is to charge the transponder fully. You'll need to borrow one, obviously. (Do not unplug it part way during the cycle or it will need to duscharge then recharge. Wait until the light changes from a blinking red to a solid green.)

Then once charged, take it off and see if you get the "4-day" flashing. The LED wil flash green 4 times quickly. This means that it has 4 days left of charge. Approximately 24 hours later, look at it again and see if it is flashing 3 times quickly. Repeat over the next 2 days to see if it flashes twice on the 3rd day and once on the 4th.

    Re: Warmers and transponder

I am looking for a transponder, how much for this one?

From what I read, it doesn't have a charger and the battery is more than likely toast?

Shoot me a price that makes me want this one.

    Thanks!

Thanks very much for that info, if it doesn't sell quickly I will definitely follow your advice so there is no guessing about the battery.
