Why are people saying go for a motard from the big four What is wrong with the euro motards?
Depends on who you ask.................as a Husky owner I would say nothing. That being said, if you need parts to a euro motard they can be alot harder to get. KTM seems to have a handle on the parts thing and there are alot of online retailers for their stuff. Husqvarna had a rough year with the change in ownership over to BMW so people has all sorts of problems getting parts. Husaberg, NOX etc. I don't know all that much about them.
What it comes down to is there are a heck of alot more of the big fours's bikes out there so if you need parts and/or tribal knowledge about setting up, repairing or generally maintaining your bike then they are the way to go.

This is great that everyone is getting motards, because even if it turns out that I can't afford one in the spring, I will just ride all of yours ;)
Three things to start with, Power, Weight and Cost. Oddly enough, the 450cc bikes from the big 4 have more power than the 500+ cc euro bikes, and are lighter. More power+lighter weight=more faster/funner:shredder:
Reliability comes in the next quote
The 560 is the problem child, the rest aren't that bad...but still not as reliable as the big 4
That's almost funny:wink:
I could be tempted to sell my Husky 510.... street legal, safety wired, ready to go, title in hand and I have a set of slicks to go with it. Not really for sale...but for the right offer...
2900 miles.

Crf in Indiana I was waiting on got flood damage. Looks like I'm buying a kxf maybe this weekend
Eh, flood damage doesn't scare me, what's the reduced cost on the CRF now? : )
Does anyone know if this guy ever sold this one?

Well from the sound of things it sat tipped over in water for several days/week. I don't feel like going through the motor/suspension and all bearings when the reason I was gonna ship the bike out here is because it was totally dialed for supermoto. The guy has a lot to deal with involving his familys stuff/insurance too so I didn't feel like asking if I can still get the bike cheap somehow.
And mongoose, I added that there is a nice crf450 in CT for 3800 dollas! ha
There's a much nicer one in my garage for sale at the right price.
