Might be two KXF's out there next year actually. One in Novice #399 and one in Expert #37.
My RMZ was the first RMZ at Loudon.

There was a KXF at Loudon in 06. Expert, name was Billy Rowe. Fast guy, one of the dirt trackers. Bike snapped the connecting rod near the end of the year and never saw him again.
Sweet deal

I'll keep my eyes peeled and keep posting up links. There has been a few threads on this topic in the Pit Area so do a search. Seth505 is going thru the same thing right now so you guys should compare notes as well.
Basically I'd recommend:
2004 and up
Any of the Big 4 Japanese brands
CRF's and YZF's tend to be the most popular
Nice set of 17" motard wheels (5" out back btw, not 4.25")
You can run a 16.5" up front (I do)
Handguards
Big brake rotor
Big aftermarket caliper is nice
Big aftermarket mastercylinder is nice but not needed
Aftermarket exhaust
Fairly stock motor (some port work tends to be okay, big mods = boom)
Who's did you ride??

ya personally I was in the middle of buying a full race setup 06 crf450 and the guy dropped off the face of the earth.
Now I am probably buying an 08 kxf450 in stock motocross trim. Then to start with/over winter I am Buying 17" wheelset, correct sprocket gearing, handguards, modifying airbox and probably only big 320mm front rotor/bracket for now with the stock brake setup other than that.
