    WTB: Stationary Bike

Anyone got a fairly nice one they don't use and would like to let go for cheap?

I figured I would try here before I went the craigslist hassle route...

Variable resistance, trip meter and timer is mostly what I would like. Also the larger area it has around the bars to put things like a book, laptop, etc the better.

Close to the boston and/or metrowest area is a bonus.

Let me know what you've got

Do you have a bicycle? If so, buy a trainer, it takes up less space and you can put it away when not in use. I throw my road bike on a trainer every winter. The downsides are you have no trays to put a book and you will ruin a tire.

Unless you buy a rim-drive trainer. I used to hook my mountain bike up on one where the tension control squeezed in on the sides of the rear rim.

I used to see a lot of people running even in winters. I have been here for two years.

I have a road bike and a trainer I can sell you. I used to use it, but now it's in the basement collecting dust.

Great road bike, needs nothing, and the trainer for it is in perfect working order!

Not sure what it's worth, but I think I paid $170 for the bike used not all that long ago. Got $100 and It's yours. With the trainer...

The road bike is a Diamondback. It's either green or silver I forget?
