FTF transfers don't involve a FFL...

you can (finally!) do the FA-10 online now too. https://mircs.chs.state.ma.us/fa10/

Do I need this and if so, how would the transfer work from MA to NH?

Long guns are easy. New to the whole handgun thing.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

So no more paperwork to be brought to police station? Everything can be done on that site?

everything is done via the MIRCS website now, just like FFLs have been able to do for years. just print/save your receipt when done, give a copy to the buyer and that's it.

previously, one of the three copies of the FA-10 would have been mailed to the CHSB by the seller. you could pick up a blank FA-10 at the PD, but the completed form was not supposed to be returned back to them.

+1. Great handgun, good trigger, and more accurate than I allow it to be. I own one myself. GLWS. If I had any reason to have matching handguns (and the $), I'd probably pick this up myself. Think I saw this FS over on NorthEastShooters, too.

Good size (with the pinky extension on the mag) for range use (depending on your hand size), and small enough to conceal (if that's your thing... ).

FTF transfers (within state) only requires an FA-10 form (whether paper or online). Personal transfers via this form are limited to 4 per year, e.g. you can only sell 4 firearms privately in a year, beyond that, you must use an FFL.

There's a debate on whether or not you should use the eFA-10 form, but this is not the time or place to get into it. If you're a MA resident and interested in this issue, swing over to northeastshooters.com.

Yes, you do... but why deal with transferring a pistol from MA to NH? Prices in NH are usually better anyway, and you can get some different handguns that we can't get here in MA, not that the Ruger SR9c is a bad pistol in any way!

Any time you transfer firearms across state lines, you must use an FFL (in the state in which the firearm is going to). I recently transferred a firearm to a buddy of mine down in RI, just went to an FFL down in RI. Easy peasy.

I'd try out (i.e. hold, and then shoot if possible) the LC9 next to the SR9c. The triggers are different - LC9 being DA (double-action) and the SR9c being a striker fired pistol; and the size is different, which will affect how it feels in your hand.

Also identify what you want the pistol for... if mostly range use, a full-size is most comfortable. If for concealment, then again, you need to look at your situation and what works best for you, what you're looking for, how you plan/wish to carry.

    Oops...

Good luck with the sale, this is really a great price for this pistol!
