I'm kicking around the idea of selling my R1 to get either something more commute friendly (probably a VFR), or a straight trade for a decent condition (driveable, straight frame, etc) muscle car of around the same value.

If there's interest at all, I'll snap a bunch more pics. There's still the issue of wtf happened to my tailsection that I have to sort out, but nothing at all is broken, I think it just wasn't put back together quite tight enough when Motopoint did my exhaust last year, and the heat just got to it.

4500 miles, always stored out of the weather in the winter, never down. My chicken strips are massive, original tires, all factory service intervals done. I ride like an old man and babied the absolute hell out of this thing. Fresh full service at the beginning of this season, and I've () ridden it about 500 miles since.

Bump - had a few PMs about trades (thanks, btw, I'll reply to you, I suck at PMs), but mostly interested in cash or the trades I have listed.

I'd also consider a trade + cash (on either side) for a C4/C5 Corvette. (Obviously cash on my end for the C5).

Still has about 4500 miles on it, garaged all winter, fresh service. I've ridden about 100 miles this season.

Probably no iterest in a 01 Aprilia Falco, Plus Cash obviously. but had to mention it. Definately more comuter friendly. I even have Heli bars for it. The R1 is no Twin which I am more addicted to, but would love to get my hands on a Newer R1. & I have the itch right now for a new toy.....

Pics/miles on the Aprilia? That's FI, correct? Does it need anything? (I assume it's been tracked, which is no big deal, just as long as it wasn't piled and repaired by Josh and Stoneman after a few bottles of Patron..)

Once it stops raining I'll snap some current pics of my bike. It needs nothing but someone smarter than I am to take the back end apart and re-clip the topside of the fairing. I'd do it, but I'd end up with spare parts all over the place and undoubtedly screw it up..

I know fuck all about the Falco, but I'm definitely interested if it's more commute friendly than my R1. Riding a pogo stick with a spiked dildo on top of it to work every day is more comfortable than my R1, haha. (Ask RGB500, that's how he commutes every day!)

I'll have to snap some better shots of it. It's only been on the track 3 times in the two years I have had it. Never been down. It's in good shape, not perfect, but for the year Excellent shape!. Runs and sounds great! I was going to have it repainted by Landrics over the winter but decided to wait or sell it as is eventually. Only cosmetic defects are scratches on the tank and a scratch on the right Exhaust can. I did a bunch to this when I got it. I was told it needed nothing when I got it, but that was a lie! Everything is in great working order after I Personally went through the entire bike.

if your around over the weekend, or an afternoon next week with better weather I could ride out your way or we could meet somewhere. Give you a chance to check it out, ride it whatever. I just put on a brand new rear Mich 2CT, front still has tons of life remaining. I have three wind screens for it, a Mille lower fairing which needs fiberglass work to fit up perfectly. (Lots of Falco owners did this mod for a lower cowling) I bought it, never did it. Heli bars are not installed, but would be part of the deal.

Upgraded/swap to a Mille Fork, tripple assembly. (Basicly the same, but these forks were set up for a 200# rider) I still have the other forks One fork seal is blown, was the right, throttle side.) If you would want a back up I can give you these, or sell them on the Ape forums.
Ugraded rear shock, Sacks shock with Ohlins 500# spring for 200+ lb rider ( I still have stock sacks shock set up for 180 lb rider)
Bike has custom front and rear directionals. Rears are Rizoma LED's, fronts are unknown, short stalker style in carbon fibre finish.
Upgraded Mille/Brembo rotors & Calipers
SST front Brake and clutch lines
Rear spools/swing arm sliders,
Front axle sliders
Frame sliders
Ram mounts, one for radar detector, other was for my Garmin Zumo. Hard wired for Valentine one and the Zumo, but would probably remove the harnesses if went through, unless we work the GPS in the deal, that I can do with out, the Radar I will not part with! Saved my ass many times!
I also have a good sized tank bag, and a full set of Paners with tail pack that can be included. But also something I can keep or sell seperate.

Clean title in hand.

After writing all this, I will probably go forward and post this up soon as the same type of sale as you here ("Feeler")

Met Chris Sat and this bike is a Cherry!
I am very impressed with the R1 balance, power and cornering ability! & with the heli bar risers this is by far the most comfortable R1 I have ever riden.
Somebody needs to pick this up!
I was considering a trade + cash on my end for this, but my prorities need to concentrate to finish remodeling my house this year... Usually I am very bad making decisions on impulse buys. I usually just do it and second guess my choices later..

$6500 firm. Josh also took a look at my rear section, and it's a simple fix - just pop the plastic off and slide it back in where it belongs - no clips are broken, nothing is missing. (I just don't want to pull the plastic off to do it, heh).

I didn't do the speedohealer, just didn't ride it enough honestly.

Zero track days. It still has 1" chicken strips on the original tires.
