Despite Bill urging her otherwise, she kept refusing to visit Wisconsin and other white working class areas, and then she made that idiotic "basket of deplorables" speech, virtually ensuring that no white lower class male would ever vote for her.

Apparently after she made that speech her aides were all looking at her speechless and she remarked, "Oops, I may have stepped in it."

Despite all this, Trump's victory was pretty narrow.
That's all true. My point, though, is that Hillary and her supporters very much expected to win this. They got a bit complacent about that, made a few unforced errors, and were totally unprepared for losing. They also expected to pick up a lot of seats in Congress, thought they had more than a 50/50 to take the majority in the Senate, were even talking about their chances to take the majority in the House. Acting smug, and feeling entitled. Thinking that their opposition was a smaller threat than it was.

And that attitude bit them in the ass. They, if they want to do better in the future, need to learn from that, instead of further reinforcing that attitude.

If the Hillary supporters want to do better in the future, they need to step aside and let people run the DNC that don't treat candidates as sports teams to root for. And for fucks sake, ask the rest of the country what they think of any potential candidate before pursuing said candidate in the primary.

The writing was on the wall the whole time. Hillary was the most disliked DNC candidate in memory. It's one thing to have a candidate that generates very little enthusiasm among independents, it's another to have one that the country overwhelmingly said "No, that's ok, pass" to.

We knew a while ago Trump was gonna take down the GOP. The silver lining in this whole deal is that DNC is going to implode too.

Cabals of power do not relinquish it readily or go peacefully. Y'all have 4 years to kick them out and find yourselves some palatable candidates. I hope some people have learned some lessons, and that y'all succeed in that; I don't want to see 8 years of Trump. I also don't want to see 2020 end up as Trump vs. Chelsea. Or Michele O. Or Biden or Schumer or Cuomo ... Find some new blood.

Might happen. But I think she would be a "shows-that-the-lesson-wasn't-learned" choice: (a) she's the same flavor as the current academic elite left that looks down on and alienates the common culture, (b) she's only one year younger than Hillary, and (c) she's developed a fair collection of baggage already.

I've seen a few articles already with various suggestions and options, most of them bad ideas. Cuomo would also be a bad idea, along with anyone who ran or might have run this time. The best option I see right now for them is probably Cory Booker.

..despite Donald Trump's campaign pledge to "drain the swamp" in Washington and his outsider campaign, many of the prospects are clear Washington insiders.

Of course. When it comes to this stuff, I'm as annoyed by people whom voted for Pres. Obama expecting change ("Take the money out of politics!") as I am by those whom voted for Mr. Trump looking for the same thing.

This stuff is impossible to change.

I'd like to hear what Mrs O said. She's appears to be the most down to earth person in that zipcode, and she's pretty well put together.

    Most is hyperbole

Only criminal aliens will be ejected

Hillary was the one proposing the national police force (gestapo)

Which I think is mainly due to Howie Carr and his followers. I wouldn't mind seeing a list of things of what's bad about her with out using the word Indian.

Is the word Pocahontas or joke-ahontis in play, or not??
Personally, I don't wish her any ill will. The smear machine will go nuts though.

Nope, nothing of the sorts. I've yet to see an intelligent argument against her and I ask all the time. That's the only thing people talk about.

For me, it's mostly the economic left-ism (not quite as bad as Bernie, but not far short). Your basic populist anti-business high-tax high-spend liberal. As far as the presidency, I said above that connections and being beholden to the current power structure is a minus. And she's 67, which would make her 71 in 2020, which is pushing it for that. Hillary, Trump, and Bernie are/were all too old to give a good chance at a healthy 8 years in the office.

She and Healey are still in their safe spaces since they can't ride Clinton's coat tails anymore.
