In MA, there is a traveling for competition allowance for nonpermit holders to possess firearms and ammo. However, the hi-cap mags are a no go. It wouldn't matter that they are legal for you to possess in CT if you owned and declared them prior to 1/14.

Oh, I'm well aware of the laws in the surrounding states. But just because I'm well aware, doesn't mean that the Trooper that pulls me over for going 70 with an out of state plate knows them. It's actually almost a guaranty that they do not.

Isn't commuting through NY even riskier though? I've heard plenty of anecdotal evidence but nothing first hand.

Seems the common move is for guys to upgrade from a 650 to a 1050, and when they do you can scoop up the 650s for a pretty good deal. Plus when someone is ready to make the jump to the 1050, you can usually rest assured that their 650 has every damn accessory available. On the 1050, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.............
My brother found my Dillon at a yard sale in Colorado. He called me and said someone had a press for sale. I asked him what kind, he couldn't remember. I asked what color, he said Blue, I said go get it. $100 with 9mm dies. I think I got a good deal.

Oh and I wasn't paying attention one night, put a bullet on the case getting powder and broke some shit. Called Dillon and told them what I did and broke. They sent me all new parts plus a couple extra pieces because they claimed the parts I had didn't belong on the press.

went hunting today, first time in over 30 years. I new it was going to rain, so I was dressed like Gorton's fisherman, a rifle with a scope just doesn't work, now I'm thinking I need something with iron sights, lever action 30-30, I like Marlin side ejection, and also like a straight stock rather than a pistol grip stock, that leaves out most 336s (they did make some variants with a straight stock)
Henry Big Boy ? prolly end up with a common 336, the ones that I like are $$$ out of my budget

They do make rain caps. They aren't at all perfect, but are better than nothing.

scope came with rain caps, the problem was more awkwardness of getting my eye the right distance for focus with the rain gear on, I didn't have fogging issues Carhartt rain gear is stiff and bulky

Anyone speak Sig? Want to buy a sunglasses stack 9mm. Always felt the P225 fit my hand well. While the P239 seemed a bit too small.

    Edit: P225 has been reintroduced!

Who has more Sig inventory in MA, Coin Collectors or Four Seasons?

In other news, got my MSP Instructor certification last week!

p239 blows... shitty trigger, feels "toyish", super top heavy... It definitely goes on the every increasing list of Sig's "swing and a miss" products.

P225, is excellent and a source of goodness in the universe. Very happy that they re-introduced it, and the G-10 grips are the beez kneez.

Yes, a bit smaller. Issue is my S&W 3913 is much slimmer. Gonna take another course at Sig Sauer and hopefully get to try the 225 again, P229 and P320.

MAybe something else to look at is the Remington 760 series pump rifles. You can usually get one for a decent price and they are good iron site woods guns.

Thought the straight stock thing was just for the lever action.

Would never buy anything from Mossberg, that wasn't some variation of a 500/590 pump shotgun.

I had my eye on a 930 JM Pro. It is pretty far on my priority list though, but it is the only Mossberg that I strongly considered buying. A 10/22 is first on the list. A 9mm 1911 is probably second.
