nice, if I didn't already have a .45Colt , I probably woulda got a .357, trying to keep the calibers of ammo I have to a minimum

now I gotta get a holster, probably going to visit Mitch Rosen Leathers in Manchester

    Yeah, now we stock .22LR, 9mmP, .45ACP, 10MM, .357, 30-06, 8mm, 20 ga and 12 ga. Too many.

    Those Rosen holsters look good.

    for me it's

    .45ACP, .45Colt, .410, .454Casull, 7.62x39, .32-40, 30-06, 20ga & 12ga

only thing I'm looking to add is 30-30 cause the .32-40 is unrealistic to shoot regularly, I got 2 boxes that I have had for over 40 years, and I've seen a box of 20 go for $200+ on gunbroker

I go by the thought that it never hurts to have the ability to shoot a wide range of calibers, never know what might be "on sale". Obviously .223 (5.56), 9mm, 22LR, 12ga, and 30-06 (or .308) are the basics for a collection but having .357, 40S&W, 20ga, 7.62x39, and another popular long range caliber like 270, 30-30, 243, etc. never hurts.

one of the reasons I have an SKS instead of an AR-15. 7.62x39 is my cheapest ammo, and always cheaper than any other centerfire ammo, even when the others are "on sale"

Anyone watching Gina talk about gun law bills?...how the bump stock ban and red flag law saved lives...how 100 people died from firearms this year...had to put the flag at half mast 13 times...she is going to ban military style rifles

thinking of picking up a galco ankle glove for my pps m2...if i have to drive or sit for a while iwb isn't all that comfortable...was debating on buying a smaller striker fired 9 or .380 pistol just for this purpose since i'm not a j frame revolver fan...i also may wait cause it sounds like the p365 will be on the list soon so i may pick up one of those and see if i like it better than the pps and sell the pps and buy the ankle holster for the p365

It was just announced at SHOT Show that the 365 is getting a MA compliant version with a manual safety. Great little gun. I have the 938 that I carry IWB and its perfect but the 365 cannot be beat for size vs capacity!

yea i read that over on nes...i know it's coming just not sure when the new roster comes out...i don't want to buy a used one that has the issue where the firing pin drags on the primer...but i also want a free state one without the safety...would rather just buy the free state fcu and just buy the frame, slide, barrel and recoil spring

Primer drag is an 'issue' but it is a non issue really and if you get one that FTF's occasionally then send it back to Sig and itll get fixed at no charge, their CS is fabulous. pretty sure that in mass you cant get the 365 without a safety, legally... shouldnt be too long before the safety 365's start to hit gun shops. Call your LGS and ask them if they have an eta on when they should be in stock.

i hear some shops have a waiting list for them...i'm not in a rush to pick one up...i'll wait to see if there are any deals...the primer drag could be an issue if you start breaking firing pins which i've heard has happened...you can't buy a free state p365 from a dealer but a used personal sale free state p365 is perfectly legal...i think the safety is part of the fcu (which is the serialized portion of the firearm)...so you could buy the fcu and assemble it yourself...same as buying a new glock frame (which is the serialized portion of the firearm) and buying the rest of the parts...both are listed on the roster...perfectly legal since the ffl isn't transferring an assembled/complete firearm to you...finding a ffl that will do that is the problem

All the new/current 365's coming out after June or so have had the primer drag, weak striker pin fixed. the pin assy was redesigned as well as a couple other things that were causing FTE issues. Its fixed moving forward with new guns and Sig will fix any older ones still having issues.

this is what a local ffl told me...cause i said i wanted a free state fcu without a safety...it's like an ffl selling a serialized glock frame (which the same ffl is doing as well)...it's not a complete firearm until you assemble it...i'd really like to shoot it back to back with my pps m2 before i buy the parts and assemble it though
