Person I was working with one on one with yesterday went home and couldn't taste their dinner. The people close to her so work went to get a rapid PCR this morning and then we were allowed back to work with a negative result. Seems like they would have waited first?

Yeah, this doesn't make sense to me. The incubation period is like 1-14 days... someone at the dinner last night could test negative this morning, unknowingly infect a bunch of people, and not test positive until next week.

Rapid tests are basically only good for confirming that the symptoms you have are Covid.
PCR tests will only show positive after the virus has been incubated after a few days.
Those people at the dinner should be quarantining for 4-5 days, then get a PCR test if no symptoms.

    Deaths or deaths per 100,000?

Deceiving. Per capita deaths per 100,000 MA is 42nd, CT is 49th and VT is 47th.

Here is a link to data per capita with 2 simple graphics I put together.

What other demographic data could we map that would look similar to this?

Odd. That info looks like it came from here https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

If you do the math, what they claim adds up to the death count reported on the MA covid pages.

Yes, important clarification- deaths per 100k.

Info came from Statista and it was the ‘big’ hit on Google when searched, i.e. the one they want you to read...

Sure. Total deaths. Mostly accumulated pre vaccine. What’s your point other than vaccines are effective?

My apologies, my data was "last 7 days, not cumulatively.

What I'd like to find is death rates per 100,000 pre and post vaccine rollout.

That would be key, and possibly quite effective at changing some minds on the vaccine.

Doubt it. People who are unvaccinated at this point aren't making that choice because they fear death from Covid.

It would be really shitty if they were pushing/mandating vaccines and they weren't effective. It's not numbers, but you can check dates of cases, doses and fatalties and draw some conclusions....

Also with vaccine rollout came reduced mask requirements and stuff.

I was thinking the exact same thing; there’s a lot of irony in those that celebrate the character/show via memes, yet obviously didn’t get “the joke.”
