    Pot referendum?

just immagine how slow everyone's gonna drive, especially in New England during the fall foliage if we're all smokin pot.....

god, i'll be the most pissed off motorcyclist ever

in all fairness... i've never smoked pot... doubt i'll try it anytime soon, but i'm beginning to come around in the whole "leagalize it" issue...

i regret voting NO on the ballot to make posession a traffic ticket kind of offense. I actually think the biggest reason why i voted against it was cuz my mom was a foot away from me in the next ballot both over & i figured she's totally against it & was gonna ask me on the way home what i voted... and she did... then told me she almost voted Yes.

Growing up my family was riddled with drug problems...and with that I made it a point to read anything and everything I could on drugs....all of them...

I was more anti-drugs then you are..lol...ok maybe not more..but atleast

And as I got older I knew people who smoked pot...all my friends did...etc....it effected people differently...some where very productive ...and some not so much..

I have friends that smoke daily that are very successful and productive...and some that live in theri parents house and smoke weed all day....everyone is different and there is no proof that weed had anything to do with either

So as I got older I got more and more curious about the big to do...so when I was 22 I thought I'd give it a try.... I had a pretty successful job...lived on my own...etc..so why not...

Ya know what..big fucking deal..lol. I am still a recreation smoker..so fucking what....

The high you get from smoking is like nothing else...it is not "impaired" as you think it is....which is why your veiws are so jaded..

Being drunk impaires you way more teh weed does...

Heh, no track days high for me. Thats not even an argument against it Joe. Not like anyone would do a track day drunk either.

Noone here said lets legalize drinking/smoking and driving...

But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

    Daily smoker, here....
Good job, nice home, lots of toys, money in the bank, nice family...
No social issues here as a result of my smokin' up.
That is not to say that some people may be negatively affected, but it is certainly not the rule.
If you haven't tried it, you simply do not know.
And, don't believe any of the propaganda that says how dangerous it is or that it is a "gateway".
I have no desire to try any other drugs. Actually, I don't even like to drink too much because I feel horrible the next day, even after as little as 3 beers(i'm a 1-2 beer kind of guy). I have NEVER had any bad after effects from smoking weed.
Legalize it and re-direct the time, energy and money currently spent to enforce the stupid laws on this "non-crime" into real crimes. Get the bad stuff like cocaine, meth and heroine off the streets and bust the pushers and get help for the addicts.

Sure they do, and they can be prosecuted for that. They can even be prosecuted for manslaughter if they kill someone. And the same would apply to pot. So whats the deal?

some people may remember that we've already had this argument, with the same points being made, and as usual, no minds were changed.

Sounds good to me. Just so long as we can tax it.

Thats exactly what I would propose, of course skipping the 'making them less mild' argument. I'm for legalizing the whole lot of em. Why? Because a black market in drugs is WORSE than a legal market in drugs with available treatment options. Wanna put a big dent in crime? Legalize all drugs, establish a legal market in them (where prices are virtually gauranteed to be lower than black market prices), and *poof* there goes one of the most violent black markets/drivers of poverty in this country.

Yes T, noones mind is being changed here... tell me something I didn't know

Yah MJ would cost pennies if it was legalized...

Also, if we had good, governmentally regulated drugs, there would be less OD-ing on stuff that was cut with bad stuff.

    Agreed 100%.

hey, let's all take it to the track!

howabouts all the pro-potties, do a track day HIGH? Hey, no problem right?
Only if you do it drunk so that you can see what imparement is or isn't and you can see how stupid our laws are regarding pot vs. alcohol.

    even all your rep friends....

I see you reverted to the driving while impaired arguement which make no sense at all and has no bearing on this issue..

Dr. perscribed drug impair you WAY more then weed does...all they need is a warning label..
