    Also,

Trump is off the Forbes 400 for the first time in 25 years.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/danalex...h=a5076e8f62b3

His net worth has always been a work of fiction, part of the promotion...

Even so, he is likely the most extreme example we have ever seen of a "rich guy" deluding the "poor" into thinking that he will improve their lives.

Even as they amped up their unwavering support for him and did his bidding, he laughed at them every night like a con man laughs at his marks.

Just so we are clear, it's on par with other utter failures. Which isn't saying much for either belligerent grandpa.

Re: President Elect: Joseph R Biden

Do you think grocery prices would be any lower with a different president? Why?

Edit- the latest gov't (BLS) inflation report was issued in August. The annual inflation rate was 5.3%, down 0.1% from the 2 prior reports. The annual food inflation rate was quite a bit lower - 3.7%, up from 3.4% in the previous report.

So if you're spending 30% more on food than you were 6 months ago then it must be an unusual local pricing situation.

I didn't look up specific food products, but one factor for an individual's grocery costs increasing a lot more than the inflation rate may be the products being purchased. Meat prices have increased well above the cost of other food, so a meats heavy diet could be a factor in paying much more than 6 or 12 months ago.

blah blah, the inflation report is based on the goods and services that people purchased back in the 70s, so they don't include what people buy today = bogus report

I keep up with my food cost, cause I don't own a cell phone or have cable tv

I have not seen inflation like this, since Carter was pres

He did promise it (his victory speech and others). An unachievable goal to completely fix this, but his poor performance alone has increased the division. We got the piece of shit we deserved.

no, builders don't think of twisted warped Home Depot lumber that is cut to 8ft cause it is so shitty
sorry that I posted a Home Depot link, lumberyards that sell quality lumber don't post their prices online

I haven't read that particular report, but the discussions on Inflation with the Fed I've heard on the radio all note that the particular rates they're claiming are not based on raw costs, but that tempered by how much of those increases they think are transitory vs never going to revert. Net result the rate is lower than what you feel at the pocketbook today, 'cause the belief is this isn't going to stick in general. I'm curious if the BLS uses the same methodolgy?
