Until Mass can determine the best way to obtain the most taxes from the legalized sale, the question is a non-starter.

I say hell yeah! Personally I get drug tested so I can't partake as I would like, but I fully support the idea and would love more individual freedoms allowed. Maybe if enough states legalize it the ATF will take it off their naughty list and DOT will stop drug testing me.

    Re: Q4: Legalize Recreational Marijuana

    Yes. Hell yes.

Since my vote for president doesn't really count in Mass with the chosen one up 25% in the state polls and our fabulous electoral system, question 4 is one of the main reasons I'm enthusiastic about voting this time around.

Unfortunately, while I'm confident that it will pass, I'm also confident that our disgusting state politicians, led by that blithering idiot Deleo (the same one who campaigned on term limits, then removed them when he himself faced them), will gut the best provisions out of the bill, like home growing, lawful gifting of up to an ounce, etc.

He's already promised he will lead the legislature to change what's enacted from what's being voted on, to maximize taxes, and the fact that the state can rob us all of more money by doing so virtually guarantees that the best parts of the bill won't be enacted, even if the voters approve it as written. It will still be better than the current situation, since if it is legalized in Mass, then all the people in Mass who partake will be violating only federal law and risking (what's left of) their second amendment rights, instead of both of those, plus Mass law, right?

I'm thinking unlimited legal homegrowing would at least generate sales tax on tractors, fertilizer, fuel, grow lamps, and 'lectricity.

LMAO at the comments below that video:

Pass it. I won't, but what I decide personally shouldn't be a law against everyone else.

The Papa John's 1/8th of a mile from my house went out of business. They rented the space for 1 day 2 weeks ago and filmed this commercial. I drove by and saw the signs, what appeared to be a storefront full of amazing things. Biggest letdown ever when the next day it was vacant again and this commercial was released. Super lame.

Up with hope, down with dope.

    Re: Q4: Legalize Recreational Marijuana

I say legalize it. My biggest question is let's say it becomes 100% legal in Mass. Will anything change when it comes to Mass based employer/employee drug testing policies? If Cannabis is legalized in Mass, will Mass based employers still test for the THC compound? I'm going to guess yes because it's still illegal at the federal level....

i was in the northern Seattle area for work around this time last year and saw the light. the bright, bright, shining light of the future for Green. as a fourty-three year old who's had enjoy (responsibly) for ~25 consistent years, my mind was absolutely blown by the smooth, easy, professional experience of visiting a legal shop to purchase various treats.

we should have legalized decades ago.
