No I did not say that. You are apparently correct that you can't read the post I made. Which, again, explains why you're the way that you are.

What I said was "And going to the state level also allows different states to try different solutions, and people to see what works, and they can either choose to implement the best solutions in their own states, or just move to the states that run things better."

So I said that people have the OPTION of how they want to handle things, and voting with your feet is ONE of those options. Sheesh.

It also, incidentally, is what I did. I decided that CA is irretrievably dysfunctional, so I moved away. When I found out about the Free State Project, NH became the destination to move TO, to help change things for greater liberty.

The key here is the word 'or'. He didn't say or imply 'if you don't like it move' as if that's the only option. If you don't like it move is just another variation of 'my way or the highway'. Good thing there's ways for the people who live in a state to impact change. So they don't necessarily have to move.

You're attempting to distill a complex set of points in to an oversimplified one so you can debate it. Which gets pretty close to just changing his words.

And I'm the incoherent one, he absolutely said and implied if you don't like it move. He moved from Cali to nh because he didn't like Cali and thought nh was a better fit for him. Quoted him 'or else move" he moved lmfao

Woo hoo! Incoherence FTMFW! Maybe they should put you in the stage with Trump and Biden, and we can have a three-way contest as to who is least capable of constructing a complete sentence containing a cogent thought.

OK, one more time for the fuckwits in the audience. What I said was "And going to the state level also allows different states to try different solutions, and people to see what works, and they CAN either CHOOSE to implement the best solutions in their own states, OR just move to the states that run things better."

Those are words that involve CHOICES, and alternate VOLUNTARY actions. So no, i did not say, or even imply, that "if you don't like it, move" was all there was to it. Sheesh.

Maybe they should put you in the stage with Trump and Biden and Rambunctous, and we can have a FOUR-way contest as to who is least capable of constructing a complete sentence containing a cogent thought. Until then, it might do you some good to try to cut back on your consumption of old paint chips.

Please, both of you correct me if I'm wrong. The question is should the federal or state government make the decision for you.

Greg is saying: Federal government should make the decision (or are saying Local gov. should make these decisions?)
Phil is saying: State should make the decision, which means you can decide to influence your state to change it, or choose to live in a different state.

Greg's situation is actually the "my way or the highway" unless you want to move countries. Phil's provides move choice. I don't know what the pissing is about.

Both can be reasonable solutions to problems.

Neither one makes a decision as to whether and where a person moves.

The Constitution severely limits federal government powers and purview; the states have more leeway. And devolving as much as possible to the states gives people more pwoer, freedom, and choices.

"Greg" (I assume by that you mean G21forme) isn't even arguing this federal-vs.-state issue. He's stuck on an inability to understand a two-letter word. He can't figure out the function of the word "or" in a sentence. That's what the "pissing is about" -- he's falsely accusing me of taking a position that I did not take, and would not.

I think spelling out that the differences between the State and Federal government making the decision would help prove your point to people like me. I think what you're saying is 1) if states make the decision, you get more options across the country than if the federal gov make a universal decision, and 2) people can have more influence on state decisions in the state they live than they can on federal decisions. So effectively, you get more options to choose from within the country and a better chance to change something in the state you live in.

My question to Greg is what happens if the federal government imposes a law he doesn't agree with? Is he going to move to a different country? Is he just going to just accept it? As a gun advocate and conservative, I'm shocked to hear you are not for state rights. Can you provide an example about what decisions should be left to the federal government and not the states? To circle this back, I want to remind you that your original comment to Phil was in his response to my question about defunding the police.

Using context clues, I think G21 = Greg.

Hmm actually not. Mostly but not always. Village Noodle Guy is the guy in college who walked around carrying the sign the said United Workers Party and United States Of Socialism and occasionally it comes through. I've pressed Village Noodle Guy and he has caved and shown his socialist ideals.
